Surprise surprise... Paper Ghost Stories: 7PM was really engrossing!

And my first playthrough (could only get 17% completion haha) only took around 20 minutes

Got 19/20 achievements by 2nd playthrough, took around 40 minutes

its not a mini game of playing card actually.
just get the card back by paling rock paper scissors with the boy downstair, then go back to the kid, hand over the card to them.
*
Did that already smile.gif

Got the mild jump scare after that... still no achievement sad.gif

Enough breathing space I hope? Frontside will remain open for both consoles to breathe.

Series X draws air in from the back and blows it up top

PS5 draws air in from the front and top and blows it out back

Unless the PS5 is at least 6" (preferably 10") away from the wall, better move it elsewhere

There should be enough room for the Series X to breath IMO

Hi All Xbox-ian,

just want some advice , even though PS5 has a lot of games library than xbox , since im not a real hard core gamer and looking for new console, is it ok if i purchase xbox series x than PS5 to play Fifa , appreciate the advice.

my budget is below RM2.5 k below...

thanks

Both PS5 and Series X will just barely fit your budget, although 2ndhand Series X are getting cheaper in Malaysia now that PS5 is easier to buy

If your main intention is to play online, you're better off sticking with PC since games and online subscription (in this case EA Play) are cheaper than consoles.

If Xbox, you need to buy the game and pay for Xbox Live Gold + EA Play, or get Game Pass Ultimate.

I am not too sure how it works on PlayStation, but a PlayStation Plus subscription is definitely required.

If just playing offline it doesn't matter which version you get... although if you want to upgrade every year and trade in the previous year's game, then stick to PlayStation.

Xbox 2ndhand market is dead here in Malaysia.

The OG Xbox did use a standard IDE hard disk, but had to be a specific type (unless you use a custom dashboard, but then you can't boot to the default dashboard).
*
Of course you can, it's just a matter of creating a custom shortcut named DEFAULT.XBE and pointing it to the default dashboard XBE in C:. Of course I don't see any reason to do so, especially so many custom dashboards offer so many more features than the default one.

And it was always standard IDE hard disks and cables, the only difference is the Xbox assigns a key to the hard disk which makes it unusable in consoles. Of course if you have a modded Xbox the key can be easily nulled.

Ah ok. I didn't venture that far enough then. I just knew if I swapped out the original hard disk with my own, I could no longer boot to the default XBE. It was only in the 360 era, and even then, with RGH only, that I started mucking around with custom dashboard.
*
I have no idea why Microsoft lock down their internal storage so tightly. Sony never bothered, and it was easy to swap/upgrade storage in PS2-PS5.

The original Xbox is really fun to play with once a modchip is installed cos its PC and Windows underpinnings make it very easy to explore and mod.

At least it's easier now with Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S and can easily install games in external storage. smile.gif

I'm using a 2TB Crucial MX500 to store XB1 games, and a 1TB Hitachi hard disk (originally from my PS4 Pro) to store legacy Xbox 360 and Xbox games.

Still saving up to get a 2TB Seagate expansion cartridge...

There is a setting for that. I forgot where it's located, but the setting is "When Xbox is off, turn off storage". This will make sure it's safe to unolug the hard disk after the Xbox is turned off. By default any storage devices still connected to the Xbox will remain powered on even after the Xbox is turned off.
*
This setting is just to stop the drive spinning (for mechanical drives anyway, not sure what it does for SSD)... power is actually still flowing to the USB case

The lights are always on for my 2 external drives... but it's safe to unplug them (although I don't see a reason to).

I already got phobia for external HDD still powered by USB after your switched off the device, I've gotten 2 dead 2Tb HDD "killed" by my Samsung SmartTV, losing all my "precious collection" I've collected over the years cry.gif
after a 2nd dead HDD I no longer left my precious external HDD connected permanently to any devices

Dunno what to say haha... no idea how TVs deal with USB media... I never used the USB ports for any of my TVs

Anyone here with experience playing Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order on Series X?

I am getting framerate dips quite frequently randomly.

I am playing on Performance mode.

I had asked some friends who had played the game on PS4 and PS5 and they said the PS version did not have such issues.

yeah, getting that once a while, noticeable dips temporary, but nothing too drastic to become annoying
*
The dips were mostly in Zeffo.

Also, all cutscenes were out of sync by 4-5 seconds in Kashyyyk and 2-3 seconds in Dathomir. Cutscenes on other planets do not appear to be affected.

where you bought the disc version?
today i play FIFA23 via remote play for 3 hours at car service centre.  flex.gif

Bought cheap from eBay UK... I get most of my Xbox discs from there, prices around RM40-90 per game inclusive of shipping is quite OK if you're willing to wait 2-3 years after the game is released.

Since Xbox market is completely dead here... memang hard to get Xbox discs at all.

most probably it will work.
if im not mistaken, now no longer got region lock for game, unless it is like japanese only or certain region special lock only.
*
These region locks went away with the Xbox 360

I regularly get Xbox discs from UK and US, and I buy DLCs using my Singapore Xbox account without any issues whatsoever.

I think is because xbox only read specific make and model for the ssd. Microsoft owes like tat lol. Xbox 360 time also.
*
Xbox 360 would accept any 2.5" HDD. It's easy to replace them, especially for the S and E models, just use a custom plastic case.

I bought a replacement case from AliExpress for around RM9, and then put in a 2TB 2.5" HDD.
