QUOTE(NewB-MX @ Nov 15 2022, 08:49 PM) Yeah, u r right. Checked on Shopee the smart charger Panasonic BQ CC55 can charge 2 eneloop pro in 2hours. Just bought one but the charger has a faint/soft ticking sound when charging. Does anyone, esp those who have the same model, know if that's normal? A quick check on the internet shows some people say it's normal. My basic charger BQ-CC51 doesn't make such sound. TQ! im using BQ CC55. no sound when charging.

QUOTE(ben3003 @ Nov 22 2022, 10:16 AM) Lol actually also more gaming on PC 😂 cos now PC hooked to TV. But i think the HDR setting on pc sux la. Xbox less hassle on hdr, and for me hdr more important than 4k. So HDR not nice means less mood play also 😂 xbox now at working home in brunei. use to watch stream and time to time play overwatch 2😂 cos here don have good TV only i use my 1080p monitor, so no mood play those nice game lol. Sorry for being picky, cos once u go black u never go back (OLED) lol Thinking investing a 48inch OLED here. But 48inch hard bring over la.. scare cross border kenak tax. If monitor very expensive altho it has better portability. Still setting up my room so see how it goes. The problem here is the internet sucks and their fiber line 100mbps got limit 500gb 😂 and it cost bnd59. So bersyukur la at malaysia 😂 not yet goes OLED my sony 4KTV fail me, i bough MI P1 to replaced it. maybe in 2023 only can change to OLED. yes, windows HDR is a problem. didnt bother to turn on HDR on windows.

QUOTE(ben3003 @ Nov 22 2022, 12:20 PM) u should treat ur eyes good and it can be pretty rewarding haha. can consider get lg c2 at 2023, u might get good bargain. I probably will get a 32inch or 27inch mini led monitor target 1st quarter next year see what good monitor we have in the market. currently much hyped coolermaster tempest is getting very good review for its price, dunno will reach msia or not lol. u are on win10 or win11? actually win11 HDR is already miles better than win10 implementation, just not xbox level haha. december GPU lineup is good, anticipating this high on life lol. Seems like a psychonauts-ish silly colorful art style game which i really like. hopefully it is good tho. yeah. saw C2 screen before. it really a class of its own. but not for now, wallet doesnt allow it.. yet. still on win10. too lazy to clean install to win11. no game yet utilize directstorage right? already got news for december lineup? share here please.

QUOTE(NewB-MX @ Dec 23 2022, 12:49 AM) @awol, can I trouble you to pls check your charger again whether it makes a soft ticking sound (esp the fist 2 slots from left) by going really near the charger in a quiet place? After 'fighting' with Panasonic Malaysia I finally received a new unit but it makes the same ticking sound like the earlier unit. I somehow find it hard to believe both units have the same / exact defect. Thank you in advance!! just saw your message this morning. i will check later this evening.

QUOTE(NewB-MX @ Dec 23 2022, 09:04 AM) i charge my battery just now, no sound heard. using the 2 slot on the left. QUOTE(dextm @ Dec 23 2022, 10:06 AM) I have BQ-CC55, tried to listen very close during charging and YES there is sound. Intermittent "ting, ting" sound. The sound only can hear if you put your ear close to it. No issue so far, been using it for almost 1 year with 6 batts. i tried to listen closely, no sound. i turn off fan, room is silent. listen for 3-4 minute only from start charging (red light).

QUOTE(NewB-MX @ Dec 24 2022, 12:29 AM) Really weird. I wonder if it is due to the fact the chargers were from different batches. My only concern is safety issue. The 2 units I have work but the sound kind of scares me. *Sigh* unable to comment on that. hopefully its not a major issue.

QUOTE(ben3003 @ Jan 14 2023, 11:27 AM) Only problem with microsoft is the accessories price never drop. The nvme ssd now 400-500 1tb can get real good but the expansion card 1tb need 1k 😂 Thats where sony is better abit. yeah. dont know why they go with proprietary SSD design. its just nvme3 x4 / nvme4 x 2. the price should already be as low as possible. with seagate as the sole manufacturer, the price will not drop anytime soon.

QUOTE(tripleB @ Jan 16 2023, 01:47 PM) This isn't actually something new, if you think about it. The original Xbox had those 8MB memory cards, the 360 also supported memory cards (before they supported external storage as memory cards). This stopped for a while during the Xbox One era, but now they are once again using proprietary storage. And if we are talking about internal storage, Xbox had never allowed self upgrading of their storage, from day one. The OG Xbox did use a standard IDE hard disk, but had to be a specific type (unless you use a custom dashboard, but then you can't boot to the default dashboard). The 360 used those removable hard disk things (in actuality just a 2.5" HDD in an enclosure), and those things were also overpriced. It's only after Microsoft allowed external storage support that things became more affordable. And now we're back to this old shit. Sigh. i did not have OG xbox. during x360, i bought 2.5" HDD Western Digital, flash the firmware as "xbox". the only thing possible right now is USB to sata SSD for xboxone games. xbox expansion card remain too expensive for now.

QUOTE(greyshadow @ Jan 17 2023, 09:01 AM) one only can dream for XsXv2 or XsX Slim to accept NVME SSD yeah... knowing how MS handle their storage all this while, we can only dream on highly unlikely i think. as XSX got the highest TFLOP this gen, then dont need to do a mid gen refresh unless PS5Pro come out? and they also make easy money selling outdated SSD with premium price.

QUOTE(gearturismo @ Jan 29 2023, 05:52 PM) Is this internal ssd? how to use with xsx? no. this is sata3 ssd. im using it with external USB case for 2.5inch drive. plugin to xbox, format as xbox storage "Use for Games", not media storage "Use for Media". then able to transfer xbox backward compatibility games into it. QUOTE(greyshadow @ Feb 1 2023, 09:09 AM) How's the loading speed running those non XsX games on external storage compared to running them natively from the internal SSD? now trigger finger itchy after CNY from YT benchmark, more or less the same. as my own experience, its load as intended. didnt make a comparison on my own. but if the game is online like some EA games, the loading slow cause of their own server, not SSD.

QUOTE(greyshadow @ Feb 1 2023, 02:11 PM) cool, then no point to buy the more expensive nvme version then, sata ssd is just as good yes. from YT video, nvme usb and sata3 ssd usb diff about 1-2 second compared to internal. nvme vs sata3 itself is 1s diff. i almost buy 2tb nvme with usb enclosure last time.
