Hopefully some good news by early November. Then again, even if you have the XSX or XSS by mid-November, there’s not many optimized launch titles available except AC Valhalla.

Cyberpunk’s optimized for XSX will only be available next year - I will probably hold off from playing until then, since playing time is limited due to work commitments. Continue playing FIFA je lah

Well that sucks. Not only my RTX 3080 order was delayed, now it looks like I won't be getting the Series X too. Even if we don't get next gen games that soon, if I can play FFXV in locked 60fps, that would be awesome. There's other stuff like 120fps support for Ori, but my TV isn't HDMI 2.1, so that's out of question.

Change my pre-order from series s to x. I think an upgrade of hdd to 1 tb and more powerful gpu is worth the upgrade.

But receive a bit late, under third batch. Haiyaaa...

Personally I don't really mind just getting the Series S, if not for the tiny SSD size. I think I'll wait for more SSD options instead of getting the Seagate one. Supposedly there will be other manufacturers making them too.

Playing Halo Master Chief Collection at 4K 120 doesn’t sound too bad

I’m waiting for my TV to be updated to HDMI2.1 - so far they’ve rolled out to Europe, Asia should be quite soon, I hope. I ‘upgraded’ from a monitor to a TV just for the sake of next-gen console gaming.

It's about time consoles get 120fps support! I used to think 60fps was as good as it gets for gaming, until I got a 4k 144Hz monitor. Now I massively prefer higher framerate over resolution. It's crazy to think that Series X will be able to do 4K 30fps with ray tracing for certain games like Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition, when even PCs have a hard time doing that. I don't know which one I can get my hands on first, the Series X or the RTX 3080. I'm looking forward to get both!

I feel you. Had a 144hz monitor previously and everything was perfect. Then I moved to console and meh 4K@30fps for most games but some can push up to 60fps on the One X and you can really tell the difference on the big screen - what more 120fps.

I would get both, but seems like the 3080 is also facing logistics backlog right? Hopefully you can get at least one of the two, come year end.

It should be quite straight forward.

1) create gamertag (SG)
2) buy XBL gold SG (3,6,12 month)
3) buy min $10 gift card SG
4) redeem XBL Gold & $10 gift card on Xbox App or Xbox One
5) buy gamepass on Xbox App using your redeemed gift card $1

that should be it, but its been awhile i last did this, might want to wait others to verify if VPN is needed or any steps are missing.

No need VPN. Just make sure to enable overseas transaction for your credit card. I'm more prefer Argentina store. Game deals and subscription much cheaper

You can actually use any account region to start off - my account is actually a Malaysian account. I just changed the store to US store and bought XBOX LIVE GOLD gift card (US), and redeemed the $1 upgrade conversion (direct deducted from CC for console, no need gift card) to GPU from my console. No VPN required.

Might wanna be fast, XBOX might remove this feature as we move closer to the launch of Series X - heard from reddit that Microsoft might change this soon.

Before this, you need Gold to play online ma - I play multiplayer FIFA on a daily basis. Manatau can convert to GPU for. $1 only, so whack saja la.

But if you do the maths, GPU is about $19.99 (if I remember correctly) / month - quite expensive after conversion.

Do i need xbox console to do this? Or use phone app also can?

its 14.99usd per month, i think now they convert 4 months of GOLD to 1 month of ultimate, i could be wrong

There’s a $1 upgrade for first time users that converts all your current Live Gold duration into GPU - I’m not sure if this is still available.

I order Series X from my friend, hopefully can get it during launch. so far SG distributor still dont know how many units are allocated for MY seller.

look at it this way, if 12 months of XBL gold is = $60, 3 years is $180 + $1 for Gamepass ultimate upgrade, if you buy gamepass ultimate for 12 months that $180.
