I reaaaally hope we don't have a mid-gen upgrade this round. I don't mind bigger SSD sizes or game bundles, but not a newer version of the hardware. I did cave in and buy an Xbox One X though, mainly because I want to take advantage of the One X Enhanced games along with overall better performance compared to the OG Xbox One. The problem with making games more ambitious is that the target performance will also be moved. Remember when Xbox One games ran at 900p while PS4 games ran at 1080p? These days, there are games (like Soul Calibur VI) that only run at 900p on OG PS4, and 1080p on PS4 Pro. The console is still the same, but the system requirement is now higher compared to the early days before the enhanced consoles came out. Kinda like PC then!

Maybe because we prefer different genre such as third person shooter, racing and fps? As far as I can see Sony gave up on racing and fps this gen.

Just wondering, would it be a pain to get AAA titles from our local store or its better to get the digital version instead? Most of our local stores only carry Playstation games, quite a bummer.

for new games you can find at Impulse and .... hmmm. i dunno. yeah I rarely bought physical games for Xbox One. 98% of my games are digital for Xbox One. and i bought like 50-100 since 2015. Maybe more cause my Owned game tab is 3xx. Im sure I dont buy much digital 360 games back then but i stop buying games in 2019 thanks to Game Pass Ultimate. only buy easy achievements games
Xbox have a cheaper alternative for digital games. a bit like how Steam gamer buy games from Argentina & Russia. you can ask your mates to gift it to you.

Get Game Pass Ultimate! It's seriously one of the best values that videogames have right now. I know some people doubt whether the games are good, but new games are added all the time. New ones too. I already bought Streets Of Rage 4 on Steam, not knowing that it also hit Gamepass the same time it was released on Steam. Blazing Chrome was also added when it was newly launched. All of the Kingdom Hearts games are also on Gamepass right now. I barely have time to play anything else, just the games on Gamepass are enough to keep me happy.

I just discovered the XBOX Live Gold gift card method, automatically transform it to an Ultimate Game Pass for $1 extra. Just gotten my XboneX, gonna give it a run before Series X comes out.

GH selling Xbox again? Just earlier in July or August I was at the Sunway store to buy Ghost of Tsushima, and I just asked one of the guys there if they would be bringing in the Xbox Series X. The guy said no, they have no plan to bring in Series X because Xbox don't sell.

Not sure about the Series X, but the Xbox One S and X use a universal power supply. You can use it with Japan and also UK power supply (110-240V). If they use the same design then we can use it for sure. Anyhow, we use the same power as the UK. Even if the power supply on the Series X isn't universal, you can safely use any electrical / electronic device from the UK. Same as Australia too.

I always bought my Xbox One X games when Amazon did massive discounts on their site. Can't rely that much on local shops as sometimes once sold out they won't carry the games anymore.
Still generally more expensive than local PS counterparts.
