Haha, too bad then XD

just traced back my email, I bought my PS4 version digital FF7R @ RM243  doh.gif
That's year 2020! game price so expensive now

At full price, my philosophy is to wait until you actually have time to play.

Full price is worth it if you can play it today. So if you really want to play it today then get it - no need to think so long.

read your journey in other thread. will do like you do.
3 years XBL (turkey) + 1 month GPU, right?
*
I think you will have problem redeeming the xbl code depending on which country your xbl territory is. This will involve getting involved with xbl support.

from greyshadown method, he redeem turkey XBL using PC via VPN.
i havent try it yet.

VPN is not the issue. I had to use a VPN to claim US XBL Gold. It would only allow me to do so once i changed my territory to US - from UK where it was originally registered. In my experience, somewhere along the way, they region locked the xbl gold codes. My advice is to proceed with caution.

You cant stack 3 years if buying straight from xbox store. They only sell subscription options.

GPU in Turkey is 44.99 Turkish Lire a month. Converted around RM11.43 today's rate which is around RM137 per year. I think I will take this instead after my GPU subscription end next year.
*
If you can register a credit card to sub in turkey, I really don’t see the point in stacking gold. That’s a really good price.

Having said that, someone reported that malaysias pc gamepass also currently gives access to Xbox gamepass so that’s also worth considering.

At that price point - it's a month to month subs so can still cancel if all you want is access to the GP library. The biggest drawback though is lack of gold - which means no multiplayer.

oh..  got quarterly sub also... so need buy 1 month GPU per month  laugh.gif  laugh.gif
some said 14days trial also can convert gold to ultimate?
3 months GOLD in turkey like $4+.... GPU $2+... so around $7 for 3 months , RM30+  hmm.gif
*
lol all this mental gymnastics. If you can register your credit card and get the turkish GPU price then by all means go for it. It's seriously not worth the hassle of buying and converting for such a short timeframe.

My 3 years US gold which i coverted to GPU also ended up at about RM25-26 per month after conversion. So if you can sub at RM137 per year just do it.

FH5:Hot Wheels. I missed out on FH3 and the first Hot Wheels DLC so did not really know what to expect. I had bought the premium add-on pack before the launch so I already had the expansion downloaded and ready to go yesterday.

I had a blast playing - the tracks are really designed for speed and is a totally different experience from regular FH. I was playing on Pro difficulty and you really get punished for every mistake you make which also makes the wins more rewarding. Unlocked the S2 races and events.

Solid expansion overall.

Rare 100% completed the Xbox 360 HD remaster of GoldenEye 007, under the assumption that Microsoft would figure things out.

EON Productions is the owner of the James Bond intellectual property.

Activision had exclusive video game rights for James Bond at the time. This was before the disastrous release of 007 Legends.

Rare owns all the design and gameplay elements of the N64 GoldenEye game.

Nintendo owns the N64 GoldenEye source code.

As far as I can understand, Microsoft was able to work a deal with Activision for this game with Microsoft publishing and releasing it on XBLA, and Activision gets a percentage of revenues.

Unfortunately Nintendo declined to allow the release since they own the original source code.

thanks.. was just checking out options for consoles... exploring options between PC vs PS5 vs XSX.

am i correct to say MS never launched and sold any XBox in MY? came across one article that said MS not released XBox (old version) due to piracy then. but i'd think that things have changed these days and even PS5... can't mod or play pirated stuff... so, why is MS still punishing MY?

but i guess SG sets is the best way for now. but yeah, warranty is a pain.

saw GH offer over the weekend and they only give 3 mths GH warranty.
*
MS will cover the warranty for SG sets. I think that's good for one year.

As to why they are punishing us? it's weird but they must not like money.

random question related to xbox controller: my controller has drifting issue on the left joystick, i don't wanna buy an entire new joystick, can I repair it? It's annoying in a way cause sometimes i play stealth game and it accidentally walks out of the hiding places. URGH!
*
Can be fixed. What's the drifting issue on the left thumbstick? Connect to PC and use the built in windows joystick calibration tool. Is there a huge deadzone in the center for a particular axis or is it slow returning to the center?

You can buy replacement potentiometers from shopee to fix the issue if it cant be resolved with a bit cleaning, compressed air or adjusting the sensor.

Wouldn't Singapore market be considered EVEN smaller then? This reasoning never sat well with me, when other MS products like Windows Phone and Surface were sold and supported locally. I still hope for local Xbox support, but not gonna hold my breath if it doesn't.
*
And really indonesia is the largest potential market in SEA. You can say it’s not worthwhile but I see it as an investment in the market to grow demand for your products.

Okie asking now! I checked with one KL shop, RM100. I’m like ‘huh????’ My controller was about RM280 or something ler.
*
If you can't blow dirt out or get it out using rubbing alcohol, then its most likely some internal mechanical issue. The solution is probably to replace the potentiometer.

Yep most places will just ask you to get a new joypad. However, the parts themselves are dirt cheap and can be replaced with a bit of soldering skill but if you're not willing to do it yourself then you have to pay.

How much would you be willing to pay?
*
I'm not willing that's why i spent my time during the MCO trying to fix it myself lol. I've only done simple repairs like button replacement, faceplate swapping and some simple potentiometer adjustments though. no soldering.

If true, I see a potentially serious backlash around Microsoft's Series S strategy. Dropping Series S support is a realllly bad idea, as the backlash would probably be too great to overcome. It would damage the Xbox brand extensively. I still feel Series S has its place alongside Series X, just like how we have many PC configurations for playing games. At the bottom of the article it mentioned Microsoft released a software dev kit that has freed up some additional memory that can be used on Series S. Hopefully that will hope to overcome some of the memory contraint issues when developing for Series S.
*
LOOOOOL read the article.

Dude who says this is a VFX artist. Who worked on "I am Fish" and who's company publishes - surgeon simulator. Certainly not graphic powerhouses as those could probably run on mobiles. I would take what he says with a pinch of salt.

You only need to look at the results of the games and how well they do for the price point in every digital foundry review. Decent developers are able to craft worthwhile user experiences at whatever the scale. And if one day the hardware cannot hack it, the series S can easily be optimised for game streaming when the cloud infrastructure becomes more mature.

edit: actually should have replied to the comment above yours

agreed it's better to take the article with pinch of salt. I'm sharing coz figured better to get feedback from owners. I'm still not one and I'm still keeping my options option.

Gotham Knights.. will just be locked at 30fps.. rumoured to also be due to XSS..

XSS had slightly less powerful hardware, unlike PS5 where digital version is the same, just without disc player.

if all games can run on XSS, makes it hard case selling XSX..?

honestly since games are all backwards compatible, why did MS come up with Series S anyway? can just sell previous gen hardware, or just do what Sony is rumoured to be doing, just go with "external" disc drive.
*
Gotham knights is just badly optimised. The digital foundry review of the game just straight up compares it to Arkham Knight which came out so long ago but still looks better? You cant blame the XSS for that.

You can play the same games on XSS and XSX for one very simple reason. MS doesn't care if people buy more xsx or xss as long as they are on Gamepass and Gamepass is where all the value is. MS is not a hardware company, they sell services. If they only allowed MS officce to work on Windows PCs, their installed user base would be so much lower. Instead it runs on Macs, browsers, mobile phones - everyone uses it Their plan for gamepass is very similar, play on console, pc and mobile. The difference between XSS and XSX just depends on whether you care for 120hz 4k and all the other bells and whistles. For a lot of people that doesnt matter if they can get a good experience with the game. And gamepass does provide great experiences - for a lower hardware entry price.

I'd be cursing if gamepass was just xboxlive gold with more free games but the value is so much better. Compared with PS which seems stuck in the last generation model demanding a royalty off every USD70 game they sell, gamepass just seems to make more financial sense.
