The last full priced sonic game i bought was Sonic Adventure for the dreamcast.. so i'm probably not the target market for this new release. Having said that, i realise that I did buy the Genesis mini which came bundled with sonic 1 and 2. Now this is really a case of rose tinted glasses because the games (in their original form with simulated scan lines!) did distract my kids for about half an hour before they went back to roblox/minecraft.

Is it a cash grab though? the games individually which are the 360 versions are worth $5 so $20 for 4 - The 360 versions havent aged well, by that i mean the menus, rendering etc. With the re-release they have done a bit of work on it..are rereleasing it with the usual remastered collectibles, improved graphics, classic modes, save states and other modern bells and whistles for $40. That's not too bad is it? That's the price you would pay for that sort of game on the switch...

You know what, we've probably been spoiled rotten by backward compatibility lol. You would probably have had to buy the game 3 times over on nintendo/PS platforms.

No idea who Yongyea is but he is entitled to his opinion. As are you. In any case the games are not yet delisted. If you really want to get them you have until the 20th of May to get them. That's sufficient warning for anyone who was planning to get those games. If you are not, I don't really understand your outrage over the delisting.

I'm also not a fun of paying more to get less but the base game is demonstrably more than the 360 versions. Whether it's $20-25 depends on whoever this game is marketed towards. At least after the 20th of May, the only versions left will be the more feature complete ones.

To be fair, I really don't know anyone who is interested in getting this remaster but I'm willing to bet that this game is perfect for gamepass. The price structure seems designed to take into consideration gamepass + the extra $5 for the DLC as extra monetisation fodder for the full experience.

They seem like a fairly ambitious 3rd party publisher. Who knows maybe they'll do something interesting with the IP. If they don't it's no big loss. However cool the IP, after 40 years of gaming, I've learnt that a developer is only as good as its next game and it's pointless to let nostalgia get your hopes up.

Had no problem playing on my non "home" xbox during the weekend but I think it was a real problem as it was acknowledged by MS.

Also Isn't steam just as stingy with their DRM? When i share my library with my son through their family settings, he's locked out when i'm on a game and vice versa.

Yeah that's some first class corporate bull shit. It doesn't make sense at all. They never said anything discounts subscription not being included when they announced the conversions.

Meanwhile - on MS side I've already got 5 and a half years GPU for the price of XBL gold - and they don't mind at all as long as you pay something to them.

I also have quite a few where they add DLC after I 100% it. These days a lot of games I cannot be bothered and some games I don't even complete the story mode but some I like to do because they're difficult. Sekiro comes to mind.

Depends on mood - sometimes I can get OCD and just spend months playing one game to get that 100%. These days I blame my kids for starting all those games and not finishing them.

Seriously though. Looking forward to diablo 4, forza motorsport, horizon hot wheels DLC and all the random indie stuff that'll be popping up on gamepass. During the show, everything was basically available to play day 1 on xbox gamepass. It's like they're saying you already bought that shit!

It's one of those things that's been rumored for a while. New achievements were recently uploaded and people have been earning achievements! Also devs recently updated the names of some of the ahievements. So yeah.... Things are moving and I was really hoping for an announcement on this.

My prediction is that it will be stealth dropped on gamepass at some point.

I won't pretend to know what type of licensing hell goldeneye is facing.

All i know is that in my Uni days - We had a N64 in our house and we spent many nights on couch pvp bouncing grenades, using mines and slapping each other. I'm just curious to see what rare will do with 25 years of hindsight.
