Been playing ‘The Medium’ for a day and I am truly amazed by the fidelity of the game. Not only it has split screen, the images and video moves simultaneously on Split Screen.

This is really a next-gen ‘marvel’ of a game, best played with headphones as well.

I noticed the resolution starts to drop during the split screen scenes - there’s certain scenes where I also noticed that the textures were pixelated.

I can hear my console’s fan running at full speed - its a pretty graphic hogging game, but most of the solo scenes you can see the RT effects in its full glory. Frame rate wise, quite constant, but like what you said, the reso does drop, its quite noticeable.

Unfortunately, this will be the case for now.

It’s gonna take awhile until the stock supply is stable. I’m seeing a couple of promos now for XSX going for about 2.8-2.9k - not too bad.

If you don’t have a reason to upgrade, I would suggest you keep your current One X first - not many next-gen games available now and most of them are upscaled games. Still waiting for a Series X Exclusive next-gen game.

Heck even the Yakuza Remastered series on GP is just 1080p @ 60fps.

Mate, that’s an unfair judgement.

I am a fellow Japan set owner since mid Dec-20 and I don’t face any issues like you are facing.

Microsoft themselves are famous for screwing up with their accessories, especially the controllers - similar to my Elite 2 controller - I have RMA it 3 times, bought in December and I still have yet to own it for more than 2 weeks because it kept going back to the seller to RMA. Would I tell people not to buy the Elite 2 because of my experience? No.

If you are referring to radio interference from wifi channels causing issues with your console, now that’s news to me. It does cause interference on some XBOX Accessories because most Bluetooth devices will have clashing radio / frequency band - hence why it is recommended to use XBOX’s proprietary wireless 2.4Ghz band instead.

You might want to hard-reset the controller and see if it still persists. Also, try with another controller to see if it’s really a faulty controller.

The HDMI issue could be caused by static / loose ports, perhaps try switching out the cable and see if it still persists - in no way the above reasons are deterrent to people buying XBOX regardless of which country it comes from.

First one, sticky A button, second and third one inconsistent A button. Inconsistent = out of 10 presses, only 6/7 will be registered.

Good solid use and if you buy the set of 4s, can rotate them around. The IKEAs are probably Eneloops in disguise - read it somewhere that their performance are quite similar haha.

Replaceable is always better than internal. Internal batteries are smaller, like you said - also hold lesser charge vs replaceable which you can easily swap out for spare and charge the depleted one.

I remember my previous DS4 on PS4 battery can barely last a week of gameplay, while on my XBOX its easily 2 weeks + headphones connected. Marvel.

Nice, 4K60 with RT is a huge in terms of power processing, especially for a game like Metro. One of my favorite games.

Future update will also support Dolby Vision for gaming.

It will be a very immersive experience to play games on Dolby Vision / Atmos.

Right now my TV is only limited to 4K120 without Dolby Vision, or 4K60 with Dolby Vision via HDMI 2.1. Should’ve gotten the LG CX OLED instead 😩

I do also dislike the Series X controller, it’s slippery for me, especially when I play competitive FIFA on Weekends, and the buttons are loud AF.

I miss my Elite 2, the DPads are a breeze - still waiting for it to be RMA-ed, more than a month already.

I play Ultimate Team, I do face difficulties in finding opponents - but of competitive modes like Weekend League is much easier.

Playstation would be a better base, XBOX has more Singaporean players.

Could also be faulty.

I suggest you download the Accessories app and test out the button before starting a game. Check the frequency of presses vs the registered frequency.

Don’t own a Atmos-enabled setup, but using Dolby Atmos for Headphone for XBOX, I do noticed audio lag for Netflix contents.

Wondering if its my TV settings or the Dolby app that is problematic.

Nice! XBOX Series X mainly due to the design, the power and of course the ‘quietness’ of the console - its as if it doesn’t exist!

You can get GamePass Ultimate subscription - totally worth your money and you have a plethora of games to start off with.

Just a note on streaming apps, HBO Max’s app suck ass. No Dolby Vision / Atmos support at all, bad UI and it’s a pretty disappointing app all together.

I rather just use my Apple TV 4K to do the streaming work.
