Played doom eternal with the DV badge @ 120 hz but seriously my 40something years old eyes can't really tell the difference. Of course at 120hz is buttery smooth.

Xbox just got updated- 4K Home Screen and night mode in accessibility options.

It’s awesome that we’re getting QOL improvements every month.

OTA I guess. It just happened automatically and was just pleasantly surprised when i saw the DV badge on some games that didn't have it previously.

Just checked again on my 55" CX that it's indeed on 4.30.10 and my 4k TV details on the Xbox says 4k DV @ 120hz.

For me, not that noticeable. the last 2 years of working from home have really taken a toll on my aging eyes.

Nevermindlah just get the G1/C1... our tvs are old and outdated already hahaha

I don't think the Ultimate version is worth it with GPU. I just bought the premium additions add-on bundle pack over the weekend. it's about USD45 and it's basically an ultimate upgrade pack and crucially gives you early access from this Friday. Most importantly, it comes with the VIP pass which is the 2x credit reward, wheelspins etc - I've found that this is crucial if you want to avoid too much grinding for cars that you want.

I figure if you really want, since you have GPU, you can buy the base game to own when it's heavily discounted 1 year down the road.

Change your Xbox location! I changed mine to singapore yesterday to unlock at midnight.

If you’re undecided just wait until next week. If you don’t buy the pass you’re still getting the same game with the free 2 play edition. The best part for me about the premium access is the VIP membership which makes the game less grindy and you can get that later if you want.

I've been playing a mixture of performance and quality mode still haven't decided which mode i prefer most. I have mixed feelings about it - I mean you're driving around like a mad man anyway so you're not going to be paying too much attention to the detail but at the same time, the lighting and detail even when not focusing is so immersive. The experience is so consistent as well that you forget that its 30fps that you just go with the flow. But then 60 fps is 60 fps and there is a noticeable difference when you first switch versions but then you forget that you're playing with less detail because you're zooming all over the place anyway!

Also, I was watching the digital foundry comparison video and was amazed at what they managed to achieve especially on the xbox one x and one s versions.

Managed to 3 star all the drift zones at 30fps but I had to switch up to 60fps for some of the story missions.. So yeah, in my experience the fps does have some effect on gameplay..

I'm crap at photography but damn the quality mode photos are insane..

I think most likely some xbox live outage...
