morning guys~

Will not be logging in often these 2 days. Got a training to attend. smile.gif

Just a brief one:
P.Sibu is one calm and serenity island that you always wanted to go, out of the hustle bustle city noises. smile.gif

It's pretty cheap at RM220 per pax incl of snorkeling, food, lodging and also the transfer from Tg Leman to Sibu.

If you keen on fishing, it's RM400~rm500 per day fishing. We can make a trip there for 8 or 12 pax. The Junansa can accomodate 87pax at one go. smile.gif

I did not manage to fish much, but i did some beach popping. There was a taker but spitted the hook after couple of seconds. smile.gif So no fish to show this round. All i can say is "Let's plan a trip there~!!"

Pictures is more to family pictures, you sure you guys wanna see it? smile.gif I'll share some scenery pictures, worry not.

BTW,
Just some minor outing for our group.

ANYONE INTERESTED TO GO TOW FOO COMING SUNDAY?

I'm definitely there cos to meet up Vincent from MFN to discuss certain issues.

For those that have not heard of TowFoo, it's a place in Kundang serving fresh water species. There is plenty of ponds around designed specifically for certain type of fishing.

There is Lure pond, specifically for lures and the fishes inside is purely Toman haven

There is Fly pond as wel, for those who does fly fishing. The pond is infested with Patin, Rohu, Talapia and Haruans.

There is also a pond called Main pond, where all sorts of fishing can be done there. Luring, bait fly and such. You can also rent a boat to go out of the shore line.

The best part about Tow Foo is that, there is Astro, beverages and not forgetting delicious food being served hot! The famous one will be the Nasi Goreng Gila Babi - using the hottest Bangla chillis. smile.gif Not just that, there's also the Grilled Lamb in Mint sauce...yum yum... Both is the signature dish of Mr Aziz Daud.

In short, a perfect place to relax and to do serious fishing... smile.gif

Food and beverages prices to be paid by own consumption, entry is Rm15 if they did not increase the prices.

Bro Alex and Bro Vw,

Unfortunately i would not recommend to go there - AT THIS TIME! The monsoon is kicking in end of Sept and i doubt we have enough ample time to plan our game.

Suggesting to make it next year somewhere in April 2008. smile.gif

Bro Chun,
Yes you are right, SP is meant to be telan by the fishies where the strong smell and the 'tender' meat(plastic) is there. smile.gif

Most of the time, you do weedless and let the haruan telan. Haruan will strike and pull into bushes but will not telan yet. In this moment, if you strike the SP will pop out from their mouth. Try waiting for a small bubble, meaning that they are trying to telan... smile.gif

Bro Q, i'll be there on Sunday morning.

Bro VW, i'll be hunting for toman there as well. Saw some big toman around 4feet playing around...and i mean farking alot.

Also there is a Lure Pond, this is where you test your skills on luring. The Tomans in the lure pond have seen every single lure that you have not see before...so you gotta play smart.. smile.gif

As far as i know, this is the ONLY pond in Malaysia that ONLY has Toman Pond....best of it, it's on lures only!

Added on August 24, 2007, 9:03 amBro Q, if necessary i'll call Aziz...do you need me to confirm that he is there?

The method used by the boatman was speed jigging. Well with the light weight like 40~80grams, it's easy to do lar...

Last trip was totally hell....200grams jigs is suffering man...too bad that there's not much actions.. smile.gif

Like Lucornia or Spratly, you will be using 250grams and above, but the strike rate is very high, be it big or small fishes... sad.gif Unfortunately we didnt get to enjoy such strike rate on the trip smile.gif

Bro Chun,

you are using the froggy or SP?

If froggy, maybe you want to improvise your hook location smile.gif There is a shorter way of making the froggy weedless. smile.gif

If SP, maybe you can let him telan a little bit longer smile.gif

Bro Chun,

This is the one that i'm talking about. An easy way to make a weedless hooks

user posted image

With such hooks, you will hook thru the whole froggy except the tail of course. The spring will be at the back of froggy.

The only setback of such hook is that the froggy will be in spinning mood when you retrieve. It's easily rectified. Just place a split shot at the shank of the hook. In such, the belly of the froggy always face down

Such manner, you can let it be weedless and easier for telan cases. smile.gif

Added on August 24, 2007, 3:28 pmBTW bro Chun, the split shot to be placed after the black holder you see in the picture.

Also, this type of weedless hooks is easy to make.. smile.gif

Buying is kinda expensive la.. smile.gif prefer DIY....

Added on August 24, 2007, 3:35 pmanother to make weedless is to use rubber band....a thin rubber band is good enough
