Wondering if their service still stuck even 2020 is around the corner ? Im planning to terminate my superpack astro and go with maxis 30Mbps + Astro Family & Mustika RM140/month. Is it a go or no ?? just to share my home is FTTH capable. Share your experience of the internet service and reliability. Already now how soso their technical support is.

DC once a day, how do you settle that ? restart the modem/router or can't do anything just wait and see. im asking bcoz if just restart the modem/router solve the dc problem, then it might be the router issue.

boss my place diorang tumpang line tm. so i dont know sabotaj or not but the latency agak tinggi jugak then suddenly no line or internet putus. ping packet lost around 8pm till 10pm then okay balik. agak frustrating jugak. potong stim u know? hahahaha so i terminate when pindah rumah. if not need to pay 500rm wowwww.

for sure not router issue. already change few routers still same. noticed that every time it down, is during peak time around 7-9pm.
of course after restart will resolved the issue. complain many time to Maxis, they will suggest to restart to solve the problem as usual.
so just waiting for the contract to end.

FTTB. if using unifi okay jeeee. some more can gibe 50mbps when subsribe maxishit suddenly downgrade to 30mbps. its my fault actually. but better unifi if can. easy support.

i also agree with the sabotaj thinking. any Maxis fibre in collaboration with TM line, is better to consider taking TM instead of Maxis.

Ok.thanks. Your maxis is FTTH or FTTB. im collecting data to look if FTTH is the same as FTTB. Cause FTTB mostly shared the infra to all ISP available in the building. The backbone owner definitely throttle down the backbone passenger while maintaining or throttle up its own customer (unifi).

Now celcom home fibre also available for HSBB area. Definitely tumpang TM HSBB. the bottleneck will chock every penumpang..

no prob..u may subscribe unifi also..peace of mind..plus, the price also not much diff..unifi got unifi tv also..

reason want to stick with astro+broadband because i still want to watch majalah 3 on monday night and watch berita jam10 tv1 everynight.hahah.

FTTB still with old copper infra. so cannot get anything more than 50 mbps.

open 24x7 no problem , already more than 3 year.

use TM Fiber and Alcatel lucent, and Own router. no problem
and changed to public IP.

only will problem dc when lupa pay bill more than 2 month

The HSBB network was subsidized by our government. TM is playing dirty by using monopolistic moves to downplay their competitors.

YES, its true.

You will get less than your advertised speed say 30M or 100M for downloads because TM will cap your BTU speed to ngam ngam your subscribed package speed which is wrong. The overheads will eat up some 10%-15% of it.

So your 30M plan will only get 27-28Mbps results with local servers.
Your 100M plan will only get around 96Mbps max

Maxis terminate awal pay only RM500. TM terminate awal maaf lah pay all your remaining months before the 24 months.

So far so good, just install 1 week. 30mbps get around 27-28mbps with no interrupt

Maxis thought they monopolizing the mobile market, they lacking in improving or at least maintaining their service.
Their mobile service is suck now day.
4G line keep dropping on and off. Report to them, they claim no problem.
Only thing they want to focus is to come up with those expensive package that tied you to all their services bundle like mobile + fibre.
And yet you think they play fair?

I will always support any option other than TM as well. I even tried wireless option like YES and Celcom Wireless but their service is unable to deliver as promise as well.

And for sure I will give my full support to TIME if they can expand their coverage to my place.

Now, I am patiently waiting for TNB's internet via powerline to expand.

I had the same problem with Unifi 500mbps. So I subscribed Maxis and 1 week later terminate Unifi.

My experience with Maxis has been terrible, just avoid at all costs.

Speed has been consistently bad, dc, latency issues, and worst thing is their customer service.
Twice their technician FFK, made appointment and no show, took leave to attend to them and they didn't show up, called Maxis, promised to call back and did not.
When they show up they claimed "Satellite issue" on a fiber network.

TM had no such issue for me. Technicians actually spent time testing the line, installed a booster, and fixed the issue.
Furthermore, in terms of 4G, Celcom was more reliable.

mind to share your maxis is FTTH or FTTB ?

My Maxshit no issue only the stupid Tplink router give problem.

I'm using FTTH.

Appointment today at 2pm, 11.30am Maxis called to tell me they've cancelled my appointment due to "No technician available", and i've already taken leave to attend to the tech and can't cancel

oh damn the CS.
