ASNB really aggresive these days. i think it's the first time where i'm seeing ads on billboards, roadshows and online. different from the past where people have never even heard of this fund before.

KDI is the best option for me but i am worried to make a cheque in their name and and bank in as OFFLINE deposit. Cos it will take me more than half a month to transfer via bank cos it's a big sum.

You already quoted the reason. Its because EPF change the requirement of minimum balance from 1mil to 1.3mil by 2029 and will review again after 2029 (with potential to rise continually?).

I don't want to put my liquid cash into illiquid account (EPF), furthermore I am not close to retirement age yet. Assuming worst case scenario (not likely but still possible) they increase the minimum by 100k per annum, then no amount of voluntary contribution can catch this.

And some politician says in parliament sitting

People using account 3 for luxurious stuff....

Ask EPF to be strict on withdrawal....

And I not sure. True or not...  Got rumours going on too...
Quite number of old folk died, left their ASMx funds... So you know.. if didn't take up ASNB services... All the units need to be sold & $$$$ be distributed to living beneficiary.....

i wonder the kiosk is mostly catered for which funds. otherwise, meaningless to be standing there trying to get units to invest in for those hard to get funds; coz their goal for this seems to be to encourage people to invest.
