From 4% to 4.5% last year...
So logically should pit stop at 4.5% before moving higher towards 4.6 or 4.8... then another stop at 5%

ASM3 even more higher chance of maintain...
Their movement even more drastically... Below 4 to 4.5

With all the "smart tactics" like reducing manager / fund fees to unbelievable level...  Just To reduce overall fund expenses...

wanna ask - does the below old news contribute to better ASM dividend since ASM is also unit trust?

The Finance Minister II Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah Azizan has announced today that unit trusts will be exempted from CGT and income tax on FSI. The exemption on CGT is effective from 1 January 2024 until 31 December 2028, while the exemption from income tax on FSI takes effect from 1 January 2024 until 31 December 2026.

FSI = foreign-sourced income

ASNB lancar penasihat pelaburan Robo dikenali Ria

Priority should be as follow if for those who dont take any risk
1. EPF
2. ASB 1, 2 or 3
3. ASM 1, 2 or 3
4. FD
5. Rize

if those take risk then invest in stock will easily get you 7% as non of the above can give u anything above 7%
for me i am non risk taker

Counting down to ASM 4.68% hahaha
2 more weeks... Let us see will it pay that much or not
I have a feeling it might even lower than 4.5% because of gov increase the unit that causes influx of fund and they don't have enough time to invest

Actually I gotten the same feeling previously...

But after thinking back what that 5bil can be done / use to pay existing unit holders dividends....

So I settle with 4.5%... with little chance of higher at 4.8%

Guarantee won't be 5%

Because ASB 2 need to be higher than 5%....
Or in par with EPF shariah level....

Don't worry...

If ASM performance below than people expectations...

Expect some level of withdrawal. Not mass major one... But significant effects... just like previously when the dividend went below 4%

Those really want to buy...

Got big opportunity available to scoop any amount....
FPX is your daily limit & bank balance 😁
*
4% also ppl wont withdraw since u cannot get 4% right now and still liquid

QUOTE(TOS @ Mar 22 2024, 12:03 PM)
English translation:

nisbah perbelanjaan pengurusan = management expense ratio

For this, of course the lower the better, ASMx funds have been well-known for their unusually low expense ratio compared to private sector funds which usually charge around 1-2%.

nisbah pusing ganti portfolio = portfolio turnover ratio

As for this one, there is no right or wrong level. A high value implies the manager churned the portfolio quite often, i.e., buy/sell quite often whereas a low value means the manager was adopting a "buy-and-hold" strategy. High turnover surely means lost of fees to brokers due to frequent trading, but if the assets are sold/purchase at the right price and the market timing's good then it's probably fine. On the other hand, buy-and-hold is a passive strategy which saves commissions/fees but the manager may become too passive (in which case his fund's performance may lag behind a comparative index).

Thank you for the explanation
Really appreciate it
Waiting for ASM1 dividend announcement
Crossing my fingers for good news of 4.5%
Not asking for higher as we all know chances of it goes below 4.5% is even higher

Most/all of the economic indicators are good, so I see no reason why the returns should not be at least 4.5% (and maybe just a bit higher) for ASM1.

Spare a thought for those who live in the Turkish economy. Turkey increased its equivalent to OPR to 50 (Fifty)% yesterday.

Meaning if I borrow 100 after 1 year I have to pay 150?

Correct - if you haven’t repaid any of the capital.

And the compounding effects of that interest rate don’t bear thinking about!
*
I don't understand how can a country survive with such OPR? For example now my housing loan I am paying around 4.3% also killing me...
They pay 50% interest then why still want to loan, just sell the house or the car and become debt free better

TBH, if 4.3% housing loan interest rate is killing you. Perhaps you shouldn't be taking that sort of loan in the first place.

i always wanted the low low interest during MCO!!!
the amount pay to bank is so little

ooh. that's your problem..

rich people problems  biggrin.gif  already max up 100k for EPF
No choice. that's the yearly limit. cannot do much about it now...

both ASM & FD same rates. needed to see how much I deposit first. ASM needed to see units. FD until 1mil I think (see the promo T&C). Most likely I would go for FD hassle free.
*
2023 ASM 4.75% 2024 maybe would be lesser but FD is fixed 4.75% for sure i go 4.75% if 2024 ASM turns up to be 5.5% nasib la...
