why had to buy b4 month end?

Because until end of the month...

Have 100k new subscription quota for each individual...

1st August, 2am... There's where the action starts.... No individual limit blockage anymore... Bank balance / FPX is the limit.... Those with multiple bank accounts would be happy & enjoying buying up whatever units available.... No chance for new members to buy... Subjected to unit availability later on... People sell only can u buy... That also finished very fast... Matter of seconds or few minutes...

Go to ASNB office branch or Agent banks...

Fill up transfer form.... I think need to pay rm15 fee... Or Rm5... Something like that 🤔

We enquired about using a foreign number a few years ago when we spent a lot of time out of Malaysia and the answer then was no. I suppose the rules may have changed but I would be surprised if they had.

So, I guess the interest (no pun intended) now passes to ASM2 and ASM3 dividends.

Using ASM1 and ASB3 as a benchmark and factoring in another increase in OPR this year, with longer exposure to previous OPR rises and steady (if not spectacular) recovery in the markets, I don't see why ASM2, ASM3 should not give 5% this year.

Thoughts?

Even the fund capable of giving 5% this year...

They very conservative approach would just give 4.5% with balance income c/fwd to next financial year 😁

Because previously also like this...
Years ago when the market is good, demand super high.... Consistent dividends rate they says... For long term purposes 👌

Yes, they will announce typically a few days before dividend day, so late March announcement for ASM.
Do take note dividend calculation is based on lowest balance every month.

(Announced %)/12*(Lowest balance in the month) for each month then combined.

If account is opened today (7 July, 2023), with initial purchased of 10K, will it be given dividend for the month of July? Assuming no other transactions in the month of July, 2023. I can't find any information on the web about this.

I am guessing no dividend will be paid unless account is opened on the 1st of July together with the placement 10K on 1st.
Thanks

edit: ok got answer from early post. Thanks
