I had applied for an ID for myASNB app. Previously got purchase ASM years ago. Successfully created ID etc, but was told to wait for SMS notification for verification etc before ID can be used. It had been several days, still no reply from ASNB. Wonder how long is the period? My other family members who are totally new to ASNB, applied for ID online. Within minutes after successfully applied, ID is activated and can started buying. Verification of bank account is also fast, within 2 working days. For existing account holders, applying for online ID seem to need to wait. Now, cannot buy online yet. Anyone know the expected period to wait for those existing holders applying for online ID? Yes, the RM0.01 Credit from ASM is normal. It is part of your banking account verification process from ASM to verified your account status.
Both my family members who first time applied online also got this transactions in their bank accounts. We noticed that the status of their bank account turn from pending to verified in the myASNB app after receiving this transaction, which is 2 working days later after applying online.

When I was helping my family member to open a/c online, did face the same problem.
After installing the myASNB app, need to grant 3 andriod permissions - notification, camera, and microphone. Grant them using the android system app.
Else the screen capture by your camera for the myKad will not appear.

After explicitly, granting these permission to the myASNB, the registration went ok.

ASN will do an IBG credit of RM0.01 to your bank account.
Within 2 working days, you should see a credit of RM0.01 to your bank account from ASN if your bank account matched your name and IC number you had provided to ASN. Your bank account status in ASN is then considered verified. ASN want to ensure the bank account number you provided belong to you (single holder, cannot be joint) for future withdrawals from you.

Got some kind of campaign promotion until end of this year to lower/waive the nominee registration fee.
During this campaign period, fee is RM100 instead of RM180 and if ASNB unit holders had invest in a single transaction of RM20K and above, the RM180 is waived.

Campaign period is from 20th Feb 2023 to 31 Dec 2023.

If account is opened today (7 July, 2023), with initial purchased of 10K, will it be given dividend for the month of July? Assuming no other transactions in the month of July, 2023. I can't find any information on the web about this.

I am guessing no dividend will be paid unless account is opened on the 1st of July together with the placement 10K on 1st.

You should get 2 months of dividend based on 10K and 6 months of dividend based on 9.5K assuming there is no further transactions until 31st March next year.

If your wife do not yet have an account, do an online registration with initial deposit of RM 10.
By 31st July, buy whatever amount your wife wishes up to 100K. Right now still got units.

On 1st August, it will be open for all. Hence, will be competing with other buyers (possibly big timers) for whatever remaining units.

I did ask ASNB on their LIVECHAT at myASNB this afternoon. I ask the customer service at LIVECHAT about whether I can start buying available ASM unit from 1st August without any restriction.

Was told that there is an extension of 3 months (1st August to 31st October) where account holder can buy up to additional of 200K unit of ASM based on availability of units. No switching or transfer allowed during this period. Same as before.

So far I notice there is no official announcement from ASNB on this 200K extension on their website or app.

Ya, I did find this very weird. Not sure whether this is a CONFIRM change as this is still not announced in their website or app.

Exactly on 1st August 2023, 2.00am can add ASM units up to additional 200K.
No switching allow until 31/10/23.

Yes, you can sell off your ASM2 (leaving some small residual of maybe 100 units to ensure account not close to collect dividend this month end) and buy ASM at the counter immediately.

Done a couple of times, always next working day, reflected in bank account (MBB) in the evening.

Stated in their FAQ fund will be credited on next working date unless got problem with the account given.

You can buy ASM1 now even if you had bought up the 300K allocation earlier.
However, cannot switch yet from ASM2 or ASM3 until after 31st Oct.
