What advantage that you notice after switching to better router compared to TM ones?

What about the modem itself? Also need to change?

in what situation we need a fan for router? actually previously my AC68U kinda hot also, hand can touch it but it just feels hot, it wont burn our hand
new router will be better right? shouldnt need to put addtinal fan, usually what causes the router become hot?  wireless transmission? continuosly braodcast signal? or serving more client?

Perhaps maybe that day too peak (Due to too many appointment schedule to install unifi), then cincai cincai do.. As long as you receive internet connections then job is done.

I just look across and saw the orange color router only.

But after I look carefully the picture, there is Huawei modem bottom there. It is purely fiber FTTH.
But how come TM give like this orange color router? Look like this router brand is Netlis (I don't know spelling correct or not, don't shoot me 1st.. )

But normally I saw some ppl living in apartment, Flat and those high-rise building, using this type of orange router.

The statement you mentioned is not true at all. ONE of my friend who live the landed house (we called terrace house) using the VDSL..
Sound like fiber, but check carefully with my friend during CNY using Unifi Lite 10Mbps (That one is previously name of the package).. If simple word, that is streamyx 10mbps..

Same as the picture just now only the orange color router type, but there is no Huawei ONT modem.. That's crapped of TM mentioned that my friend's area NOT GOING for FTTH future project. (Behind reason I'm not sure why lah~)

I don't think so TM not providing TP-Link or D-Link anymore. Perhaps it might be shortage of router, so you are the nasib buruk give you this shit router with "Unifi" logo..

If you have such a bit budget , that's the best you spend for purchase ASUS router one.. No one can beat from TP-Link and D-Link.

the 50M plan , upload is 10M only .

Don't know if they change upload to 20M or not.

tm installer show me upsizing promo list on middle of jul 2019.
It was written :-
1)unifi 30M--quata 60 Gb--30M(dl) /10M(ul)--rm79 .Contract 24 months.

2)unifi 30M--30M(dl) /10M(ul)--rm89 .Contract 24 months.

3)unifi 50M---50M(dl) /10M(ul)--rm99 .Contract 24 months.

tm installer asked me to choose which plan i like .I choose 30M plan.
If 50M plan upload was 20M during that time , i already subscribe it.
I am not happy now.   

anyone apply this? i got this offer.. for 24 months contract..dont know whether got any catch?

Yesterday TM staff came to my house to sign up my new Unifi Plan.
I asked about this promo also. He said need to pay more actually got T&C, he didnt go into details.
But for new Unifi plan, they offer 1 month free usage, even if u r existing Streamyx user upgrade to Unifi, thats the only offer for now.

They called me on Wednesday and today suddenly my line got dc'ed many times. Then my speed upgraded. I check my plan still 30mb   

Is there really a point of getting 500mbps a month? Since download speed can only reach 10mpb/s

I'm not sure what is their TnC, but they secretly offer this kind of deal for the selected customers is indeed an unfair practice.
If they are secretly offering this kind deal, I want the same, if not will move forward to file another report.
They are checking with the manager, will get back to me on Monday.

That's the problem you see. They selectively offering this kind of deal for potential new customers.
What about existing customers? New customer that signup for Unifi? Streamyx user?
All the different pricing and they are focusing user to renew their contract every 2 years.

Many streamyx users are still paying expensive bill with slow and unstable internet speed.
RM69, RM79, RM89? Paying for the price with the speed in between of 2M-8M.
Some reported they are paying higher for only 4Mbps.

what they offer for Unifi Users.
RM89            30Mbps
RM89+RM10  50Mbps (force you to renew 2yrs contract)

RM129          100Mbps
RM199          300Mbps

Some of the forumer share they are getting 800Mbps for less than RM200, good for them.


Now please take a look what they offer for Maxis Fiber Users instead

RM79             100Mbps
RM149           300MBps
Is this unfair business practice? YES.
Are they treating loyal customer like a cash cow? YES
Is the monopoly National ISP secretly giving sepcial rate to different customer acceptable? Absolutely F*cking Not.

Internet is an essential needs, with the pandamic happened it become more obvious.
This is not okay. I don't think we should tolerate this kind of of BS anymore.
