However given the choice of the E595 (RM2,551) v T495 (RM3015) v X395 (RM3,340) whats the verdict like?
Is the price difference worth getting the T495 over the E595 i.e. a better buy?
Appreciate the advise sifus!
AMD just announced the Ryzen 4000 line, you might want to wait for those, they will be similarly price with the options you mentioned. You might have to wait till May 2020 though.
Here's some pros/cons: E595 = upgradable to 64GB RAM (also can consider E495 model) T495 = depending on model with onboard soldered RAM, its upgradable to 40GB or 48GB RAM X395 = RAM is soldered, not upgradable.

This is true... Especially when you're at public places such as mall/workplace.... There are hundreds of radio wave broadcasting at all directions so there's almost close to no difference having just 1 more device beside you...
Sometimes you don't even noticed the microcell is actually just right on top of you while you're drinking coffee in the mall...
i think you're not talking about 5g here, many people confuse 5g wifi and 5g celullar, they are both different, and currently those microcell are at 4g tech, i don't think both maxis and celcom offer 5g celullar yet, currently still at trial stage.
that's not the problem dude, first u say "not good for organs" then you say it's your personal choice bla bla bla limit what ur laptop radiates.
the point is u pusing pusing without facts. there's no point limiting what your laptop radiates; as the cell/microcell are everywhere. it doesn't make a difference.
if you're really into limiting the radiation; you would've gotten rid of wifi in your house, run everything wired; and even resort to removing/disabling wifi card on your laptop too.
hence we can't grasp your concept of "wifi is ok, radio waves from everywhere is ok, but 5g on my lap is not ok, not good for organs; and hey 'not good for organs' also means my personal choice to say this, please don't judge"
where did i pusing?
first post itself i mention i wouldn't want to use on lap, not sure what your issue is.

I'm not talking about wifi for sure... I'm referring to all the devices in public area such as cellphones and tablets .... There are hundreds or even thousands of them beaming signal at all directions... From your pocket... Extend to your close family and shoppers ...
So it's very close to no difference with additional 5G radio from the laptop...
I'm telco engineer myself so I've been carrying test phones and tablets with me all the time. So to "minimize" the impact, I usually turn all devices to airplane mode when it's not in used. Only main phone are on with data all the time.
over 2 decades of exposure of external radio waves, and 15 years of 2G through 4G in my pocket right next to my didi and ballz. still working stronk and healthy
give it up, your argument is only valid for yourself. rmb don't use wifi too ya, disable ur wifi card. then your laptop will be safe on your lap
That's not 5G bro, go read up on it. Now you just putting words in my mouth. LOL
Would you guys rather accept as free gift: i) 3 Years Premium Support worth RM159 (optional paid add on otherwise); or ii) Mystery gift Lenovo product worth RM600?
For some reasons, there is some occasional hiccups when using Microsoft Words... Maybe driver issues or that’s the popular AMD lacks optimisation issues, hmmmm.
Although tolerable and not something that is deal breaker, I always advice people to go for Intel due to the reason you listed. But when you can save RM500-RM1000 by going with a ryzen counterpart, that micro-lag/micro-stutter doesn't seem so bad.
Single core performance and power efficiency improvement are all that matter to me for this new chip. Also I hope they have support for higher speed DDR4 RAM (may be 2800mhz or even better 3Ghz straightaway as we have no idea when will it’s successor be ready, it needed to be future proof enough to take on gen11 intel chips), as it’s directly governing the performance of the iGPU.
The multi-core improvements probably come from hexa-core configuration, nothing ground breaking in my sense since this chip is supposedly to power office laptop or ultrabook, you don’t really need >quad cores for these, LOL...
i think 3200Mhz RAMs are confirmed in the PSREF for the new Lenovo Thinkpads with Ryzen (might be wrong, or might just be the intel versions, but if not mistaken that is what i saw)
guys, i need help finding a good "USB-C hub" for my X1 Cabon 6th gen. The laptop has a thunderbolt port which I will use to connect to the hub. The hub needs to have:
1. many USB-A ports 2. HDMI-out 3. Charges my laptop
ok essentially I need this below, but the price is RM1,000. We know Lenovo charges a premium on their accessories. Surely there are 3rd party USB-docks with HDMI and charges the laptop at the same time that are more reasonably priced?
Try TAXDAY30 code coupled with shopback 8%-14% on lenovo website.
Also Ugreen might have what you want, i think its 7-in-1 or 9-in-1 hub.

Hey..Lenovo always has this chat for insider offer.. When I made my purchase few days ago I did chat with CS and he gave me his REP ID for the “mystery gift worth RM600”.
Anyone has any experience with what they usually give out as mystery gift?
if the gift worth rm600, probably worth way less than that.
