This is windows laptop with macOS installed on it. It’s not going replaced MacBook for sure but more about the ability of the laptop and the option it gives you to install macOS on it.

Cool. I seen my friend install windows on their mac but not the other way around
*
This one no issue, quite easy to do, Infact Apple themselves have software that allows windows to boot from Mac (E.g. parallels, bootcamp).

But getting macOS on a default windows laptop is hard.

Yawn seems everyone can't move on from the 1010 laptop sale....

Now whenever anyone asks bout prices it's gonna be "can't beat 1010".....
*
Everyone has moved on, now looking for next best deal, ofcourse you won't find something as good but beats for example paying rm100 for a laptop charger when you only have to pay rm50. If you feel that rm50 not worth your savings then no need "yawn" on others, just ignore this thread.

Some issues i have faced with my laptops, maybe others have faced it and know of a solution:

T495: Sometimes when put to charge (while laptop is turned off), the laptop does not charge, unless i turn on the laptop, then only it starts charging - I have not found a solution to this.

Thinkbook 13s: Once put my laptop to sleep, after that, it cannot wake up. In the end, have to long press the power button to force a restart.

I thought this is a problem with SSD in general? Swapped my laptop hdd for a ssd and the same shit happened.
*
Didn’t know that, anyways so far haven’t experience the issue again after changing some battery setting in lenovo vantage.

Did you still turn on hibernate or sleep?
*
i never use hibernate for ssd machines. Only use sleep mode.
what i did on my thinkbook 13s is turn off "conservation mode" in lenovo vantage. after this never experience the "can't turn on from sleep" ever again.

which settings? Conservation mode?
*
In Lenovo Vantage. For thinkbook 13s is different from thinkpad.

Thinkpad got "baterry charge threshold".

Thinkbook 13s only got "conservation mode".

Now, the Lenovo has announced the ThinkPad TrackPoint II Keyboard, which is essentially the ThinkPad’s keyboard—without the ThinkPad attached. You can use it with your desktop computer, or even your non-ThinkPad laptop, and the keyboard even comes with mouse buttons (but no trackpad), and as mentioned, a TrackPoint.

Lenovo says that this bring the ThinkPad’s “iconic” typing experience into a standalone device, and the TrackPoint II uses identical “keycaps, typing distance, actuation force, scissor switches ,tactile feedback, and mouse-free TrackPoint as the ThinkPad notebooks”.

You can connect to two devices via either Bluetooth or a USB dongle, with Android supported as well.

This would probably be close to RM500 when/if released in Malaysia. Wired one can be bought for as low as RM140 though.

I wouldn’t go for 5G though, especially for people who use their laptops on their lap. Not good for your organs.

No offense but can u show any evidence that says 5G is harmful to humans?
*
Didn’t say it was harmful, I am saying that I would prefer a non-5g model (not that I have anything against 5g).

You see, it’s a personal choice, I like to use my laptop on my lap a lot. Now 5g maybe safe, but I don’t need 5g speeds for the stuff I do, and if I can live on less radiation emitting from my laptop, then I would prefer the less radiation option.

Anyways you started your sentence with “no offense”, so I think you have more to add to this discussion or something about 5g you would like people to know, so appreciate if you can share it here? smile.gif

So basically it is just purely based on your feelings that it is bad for your organs? I see. I thought u came across a study or experienced it yourself or learnt from somewhere hence my question. Again, pls do not take offense in that, i'm just purely concerned on 5G effect on us that's all smile.gif

idgaf. next time learn to ask nicely wink.gif

He asked quite nicely though. You were the one who got defensive when he called you out on your bs.

I've reach a stage where i am quite lazy to entertain people like you or him. if you are genuinely interested in finding knowledge, i don't mind sharing, there is countless articles and even things on YouTube if you're too lazy to read that i can provide.

but when your mode of asking is rather to attack the messenger instead of the message, i just don't bother to entertained.

same like you when you say "called you out on your bs", this is a personal attack, nothing related to the topic at hand which was 5G.

same with him when he starts his conversation with "No offense but can u show" and later adds "So basically it is just purely based on your feelings that it is bad for your organs? I see." i can see i was right that this person just wants to argue, not really genuinely want to find knowledge. I am glad i did not waste my time finding the references for him online.

does it really matter, the existing radio waves are exposed to us almost everywhere; and that includes 5G in the future.
Doesn't make a difference, we are all exposed to these non-ionizing radiation.

oh wait, WiFi is one of them too.
"when you're trying to look like an intellectual but ended up sounding like a narcissist"
*
Hi Mr Intellectual, yes it does, please let me clarify, i am not against 5g, i welcome the tech, but from personal usage, i would "personally" (now please focus on this word cause i'm not advocating against 5g, i am talking about personal choice here - hope you can grasp that concept). try to limit what my laptop radiates.

Sort of like how a house buyer is okay using electricity or communication networks but wouldn't want his house next to high tension cables or a telco tower.

Same case, if laptop on table, i'd be okay using 5g celullar, but using my laptop on my lap, i would be a bit concern.
