With Firefox seems okay. Just chrome like not optimized for AMD Ryzen yet. Chrome is my go to mainly for the extensions and add-ons.

Another example of issue I face is like you know on lazada, if you hover your mouse cursor on a pic, it should give you a zoom preview of that pic? Doesn’t work with chrome and Ryzen, but works perfectly on my intel systems.

But these are seriously minor issues that should not deter one from buying AMD Ryzen systems.

Have you tried enable/disable hardware acceleration in Chrome? Still same?

Yes, tried a lot of things, and it does improve it a bit. But what I’m trying to say is if you have an intel counterpart, you will notice the difference. If you don’t have an intel machine to compare to, you probably won’t notice it.

Also, after each Windows/vantage update the systems is improved by a bit.

got seller in /k garage sales, but i wouldnt recommend.
original battery only Rm300+
whereas OEM battery cost for thinkpad will be 200 give or take also.
but quality vastly different.

ori battery can last you 3-4 years. while OEm battery can die in 6 months

you also have to worry about firmware upgrades negating the ability to use OEM batteries

Thanks for the advise. Will opt for original batteries.
Did a search on garage sales but all are selling laptops instead of batteries.

Any shops recommended?

If you are looking for original parts, you can directly call Lenovo. They will suggest few official parts reseller near you.

You can call each one of them later and compare the price

Hmmm so far not much problem with C940.
X1 Carbon 7th has battery problem.
S730 is the best for you.

Are you using C940, any review?

this one if not mistaken is 1 soldered onboard + 1 ram slot for upgrading

the new thinkbook 14 and 15 only got 1 soldered on board, really silly - 8gb for win10...

1 soldered, 1 socket according to the PSREF (so if 8GB soldered, and 32GB in socket, max RAM is 40GB RAM):

lenovo cs already confirm thinkbook 14 and 15 no change/upgrade ram, it is only 1 soldered ram.

T490 is one soldered + one ram slot.

Well not much info on Thinkbook 15 yet but i would trust the psref document more (1 slot + 1 soldered). Even crucial memory website reinforces this statement:

https://www.crucial.com/usa/en/compatible-u...l-_-null-_-null

Note: In crucial website they mention max memory is 24GB RAM, here they assume a combination of 8GB + 16GB = 24GB, instead of 8GB + 32GB = 40GB.
