QUOTE(ThE DaReDeViL @ Apr 17 2022, 12:11 AM) Kinda agree, actually went to test just now in Welly which they only have the fiber version.. Even though it's rated at 1650 (just 100g lighter than my LS2), it feels much lighter..Think they balanced it well.. BTW, poisoned by the Suzuki Gsxs750.. Think probably pause the helmet for a while 1st, will try submit loan for bike.. If rejected only go for 90s carbon, if approved then woohoo, new bike.. Hehe.. Whoah.....can impulse buy a bike hahahahahY not the gsxs 1000? |

QUOTE(alexei @ Apr 21 2022, 09:53 AM) u mean Road5 is good, right? that's what I heard Road6 is out, will see metzeler i notice front tyre handling not feel natural... will skip this brand QUOTE(g3n0c1d3 @ Apr 21 2022, 07:52 PM) im using the road5 now...yes its very good in the rain and pretty good in the dry too. but i still prefer the metzeler roadtec01. i have more confidence in the roadtec and have never had any unintentional slips whereas ive had a couple with the road5. for some reason the road5 just doesnt feel confidence inspiring.also the road5 is much lazier to lean into corners while the roadtecs leans with minimal effort. once the road5 is gone, ill be going back to roadtec or if curious enough will probably try out whatever version of the Bridgestone T3x series is out at the time. unlikely ill be going back to road5...may not even consider the road6. |

QUOTE(alexei @ Apr 22 2022, 04:07 PM) wow, thanks. 1 vote for roadtec01 Yeah HWM. Its the only type available in Malaysia iinm.between road5 and roadtec01, which one is stiffer? your roadtec01, is it the HWM version? Stiffer? Im assuming the roadtec coz HWM. Honestly never noticed difference in stiffness. Anyway...roadtec01 has new version which is roadtec01 SE. Same thread, compound etc except the thread at the edges has been shortened to give more grip.during dry cornering. Have not seen anyone using it though n dunno abt availability here |

QUOTE(jaycee1 @ Apr 25 2022, 10:10 AM) ADV helmets tend to be less aerodynamic, [removed] compared to equivalently priced sport or sport touring helmets. only if u keep the peak on... i have an ADV and i ride a naked. took the peak off and its one of the better helmets that cuts through the wind compared to my 2 sport touring helmets (and 2 jet helmets). the beak on ADVs are usually sharper and really helps to cut through the wind. as for noise, i cant say coz the ADV i have has 17 points of ventilation so noise is gonna be bad no matter wat and its known to be a noisy helmet anyway. |

QUOTE(chl1208 @ Jun 1 2022, 09:33 AM) hey guys, I am currently riding a sport touring bike with a decent windscreen. I am considering changing my helmet to LS2 Pioneer Evo. sport touring i dont think will suit these kinda helmets unless u remove the peak. otherwise itll catch wind and noise will be the least of ur problems.Has anyone here tried it before? Any review? My main concern will be its wind noise. I am not sure with a decent windscreen will the wind noise still be loud. unless u have super tall windscreen like touring bikes, i wouldnt recommend these dual sport helmets without removing the peak... after removing the aero should be pretty decent to cut thru wind. as for noise, these kinda helmets are known to be noisy as airflow is a main factor for these kinda helmets...easily solved with earplugs (which u should be doing anyway) chl1208 liked this post

QUOTE(chl1208 @ Jun 1 2022, 07:45 PM) What I like is the weight of the LS2 Pioneer Evo, which is about 1.4kg only. As compare to my current helmet (Lazer MH5 modular helmet) which is about 1.7KG, I am thinking whether the extra noise is worth off the 0.3KG lighter for a long distance ride. As someone from a 1.7kg modular to a 1.4kg full face....im gonna say its worth it...i ride a naked n the lesser weight really is a blessing especially on my neck.but then i use earplugs..n again, u should too My 1.4kg helmet is the caberg drift evo carbon in medium chl1208 liked this post

QUOTE(persona93 @ Jun 4 2022, 11:33 AM) I just use 3m 1100 disposable foam earplugs..the kind with the string. Rm2.50/pair at hardware shops so its easily availableI also use this with the foam tips https://shopee.com.my/product/81885991/9776...69-1654315248.9 Both work well for me and are comfy. Even with a jet helmet they reduces enough to help me keep my sanity. Take note there is a correct way to wear foam earplugs for it to be effective...make sure to check on that (rolling, pulling ear etc). Just shoving them in wont do anything |

QUOTE(Voopoo @ Jun 9 2022, 12:44 PM) it is normal for the cheek bones to start hurting after riding for 90 mins or so with a helmet?? i dont feel the helmet pressing on my cheeks hard when i put on the the helmet. yes, depending on the fit of the helmet..... when ur riding the wind will be pushing the helmet back onto ur cheeks... so yes, normal to feel a little lenguh on the cheeks. |

earphones if earbuds type, wont do anything for noise....
if IEM type (aka ear dildos), with the correct size tip, can help reduce a little... but it really isnt much. earplugs are still the best solution to outside noise. if ur uncomfortable using earplugs there are many different types out there, even mouldable ones. i find foam earplugs to be the most comfortable as it will expand to ur specific ear canal. if u feel weird about the silence, just get used to it n raise ur awareness of ur surroundings. after awhile u probably wont even realize ur wearing it. |

Washable and can control how deep you wanna plug.. u mean the silicone ones? i tried those n they werent comfortable for me... especially since the stem on the ones i tried was super long and it actually hurt my ears. |

try also looking at LSH Racing world near publika. they carry lazer, caberg and also AGV. the caberg drift evo carbon is pretty cheap for a carbon fiber helmet and very comfy as well. works with my glasses at least... otherwise u can look at the AGVs as well. |

QUOTE(jaycee1 @ Aug 8 2022, 03:42 PM) Went to Hodaka just now. No dice. ADX2 only coming in October. goddamn.... i went to hodaka couple of days ago and was looking at the EXO 1400 too....been eyeing that helmet for quite some time but cant justify the purchase since i have a different cf helmet already.Seriously poisoned again by the EXO 1400 carbon. Too bad Hodaka won't be bringing in more ...only one size fit me and the design not my liking. 1200g damn farking light, even compared to my Rpha 70 its a damn sexy helmet though. |

QUOTE(jaycee1 @ Aug 9 2022, 05:48 PM) That was my first choice. Couldnt get the size/colour I liked so ended up with the hjc rpha70. That time desperate for a new helmet because my MT modular got all loose already. wat sizes did they have left? did u ask?Really too bad they not bringing in more. The R1 carbon is nice too, but I like an integrated visor for street riding Have to wait for the ADX2. The 22.06 version has gotten a bit heavier... I hope not too much. n price if not mistaken around 2k right? This post has been edited by mADmAN: Aug 9 2022, 06:26 PM |

QUOTE(areasontolive68 @ Oct 25 2022, 09:55 PM) Thinking of picking up a rpha 11 next month, any sifu can recommend this helmet for long term use? Plan on using for my first trip with my brother to Kuching. I know it's racing helmet but I like the narrow look of it and also come with pinlock and free dark visor. This will be my *first* helmet and I want to make sure the rm1++++ price is worth it. QUOTE(skyblu3 @ Oct 25 2022, 10:03 PM) I would recommend you to consider the rpha70. It comes with a retractable sun visor/shade which is a better option than using a dark visor. And it's a much quieter helmet. agree with skyblu3.. the Rpha11 is also known to be a noisy helmet... and i think the Rpha70 might be cheaper than the 11. either way, would strongly recommend earplugs for any helmet u ride especially long distance. It's a better helmet for daily use and for long distance ride. I'm using one, my daily ride helmet. No regrets. Forgot to ask What type of bike are you riding? Rpha11 aerodynamics is designed mainly for sporty riding position Rpha70 is designed for upright riding position, touring , etc another option u can look at is also the Rpha90 if u want a flip up. |
