Everyone please block this phone number on your phone. +67682222
My parent who work in office nearly kena scam called by these Macau Scam Syndicates via Office Telephone Line.

Fortunately the phone call is stopped by parent's colleague.
So far only leaked out my parent's name and phone number only, didn't ask for IC. sweat.gif

Basically, the operation works like this, you pick up your landed phone, robotic voice saying from TM, ask you press '9', then send to TM Customer Support Staff, they give your their fake "personal info" and "report ID", then suddenly direct to some Inspector in Seremban Police Station.
Then need to remain in silent room where no other people is around for audio recording as evidence, where they ask you for your personal mobile phone, where the details of the scam begins there.
If you cut their line, they will harass and spam call you.

Basically, I googled this number, mostly targetted by Chinese Malaysian Community hmm.gif
+67682222 - Scammer Syndicate
+06-7682222 - Seems like legit Seremban Police Hotline Phone Number http://www.mpsns.gov.my/ms/pelawat/balai-polis

My colleague accompanied my parent to report to Balai Polis, but celaka balai polis staff don't want to write a record and go back.
Well hopefully my parent's info won't be breached any time soon.

Most recent incident happened in October 28, 2019 in KL Blowwater Group

Report to Police, Police don't even want to log the incident.
I don't think this will even bring forward to MCMC.

sweat.gif Really that easily change?
Can put any number they want?

They technically used a legit Malaysian Police Station Number, and remove the front "0" sweat.gif

Just want to say, relieved to find your post although I am already pretty sure its a scam.

Stupid jobless useless scammer pushed my mom on the phone until she cried and waste 2 hours on the phone. Good thing my mom not too old yet.

Edit: Still using the same number though. It should be very obvious when +67 some foreign numbers call you.

You just screwed yourself the moment you press whatever number to speak to operator!

There is no reason for someone to call you and then you need to press whatever number to connect to the operator.

There isnt any authority or legal agency or even business entity that require you to press any number because THEY ARE CALLING YOU!

If there is such business, they deserve to lose customer.

So kena memang sendiri cari nahas. Sapa suruh tekan.
Straight away hang up lar.

My dad has no problem making report. He was con giving updated info to "digi" staff. The person on the other end wasn't computer and knows dad info and actual Malay guy so dad thought was actual digi since he forgot all our mobile info was leak few years ago. The person on the other end reconfirm our info telling dad his old address so he thought it was real.

I make sure it's not digi and we made report at balai polis who transfered us via phone to some cyber crime inspector who told us he will add dad info into watch list for few months and that locals all races are now involve in all types of scams. I suggest you make report at next balai polis if one wont allow you to make one

Actually, all people in \K or anyone who always read sosial media knows this is scam. It's useless to post here with intention to let other people know. However, the people like you only represent a few percents of malaysian population. There are still a big percentage of people who didnt know anything about this, and these are the scammers potential customers, including your mom at kampung there ...

Yes, you can proudly say that because you already know about this in the first place. If this is your first time knowing/receiving such a call, you're also just like other victims, anxious and dont know what to do, and in panic, keep following the "police" instructions ..

I got a call from CIMB to tell me about savings account promo - the one where you keep > rm3k and they give higher interest rate. Apparently you need to sort of register for the promo.

Caller asked for details. I refused to give, but asked her to "test" me by asking me standard verification questions. I told her she can keep the promo rate for herself if she insisted on knowing my details as verification. I mean, she called me on my registered with the bank.

Last2 pun ok. Moral of story: don't be greedy.

But on the same day, I transferred out my money to other bank.
