I have 155 contacts. I just imported them from Microsoft Outlook.

How to I clear the sim card contact? or how do I let the phone to use phone memory for contact exclusively instead of reading from sim card

The manual i get i think it's bahasa indonesia.

Any ideas on how to fix my problem on the lagging in phonebook?

When i try to search like "Charles", I'll just type "c" and "h" ..i have to wait for around 8 sec to let it finish searching

Nop. I just formated my phone. so it's pretty empty. The problem still persist.
I just tried changing the phone language to chinese and it fixed the problem. no more laggin when searching contact.

But the thing is I don't want to use chinese language. I'm not familiar with the chinese terms. I don't even know some it means especially when it comes to configurating settings.

Oh ya, I want to try updating the firmware to V.4.0736.3.2.1.
It won't affect the chinese fonts right?

in that case, to the extend of my knowledge, i think it's the mix of both english and chinese names you have that's stored in your phonebook that's causing the massive lag.. smile.gif

Added on October 25, 2007, 4:05 pmOkay, i found the product code changing solution.

I wan to ask what type of product code do your guys use?

Added on October 25, 2007, 4:35 pmI changed the product code to chinese product whereas stated in the 1st page of this thread.

But when i try to update the firmware, it won't update because I've already had the latest firmware.
Is thr any way i could downgrade the firmware? like say trick the software that the phone has an older firmware so that the nokia update will update my firmware
