their sop :
1. verify it genuine product : if not Switch will charge RM 100.00
2. check to make sure is not water damage : if yes switch will charge rm 130.00
3. test with apple equipment at their outlet : duration 1-3 days
4. if equipment confirm can claim : will send in to apple singapore for warranty claim..... : duration around 7 days
now mine is at stage 4
i sent mine around March, i think the RM100 is not genuine or not, I check back my receipt, i remember that the Switch staff told me if after diagnose, if no issue found, they will charge me RM100, because if everyone send in let them diagnose (which has no issue), so I think they stated this clause to protect them, unless customer decided to repair if the issue is not under service program, then RM100 will be waive (repair cost will be charge instead)
mine is on R side, but after they diagnose, they said both side have crackling sound, so I get both side replaced
