i have first gen airpods bought around April 2017, the 1st gen mostly battery got issue, i have try search online biggrin.gif
the 1st gen no more use after I got airpods pro sweat.gif

now using airpods pro.... since Dec 2019, so far still close to spec 4.5-5hours laugh.gif

just got my Nov 2019 Airpods Pro back from claim for crackling and static sound issue, I report to them right side quite obvious... but after they test both side, they informed me both side have similar issue so just proceed to claim both side smile.gif

i sent mine around March, i think the RM100 is not genuine or not, I check back my receipt, i remember that the Switch staff told me if after diagnose, if no issue found, they will charge me RM100, because if everyone send in let them diagnose (which has no issue), so I think they stated this clause to protect them, unless customer decided to repair if the issue is not under service program, then RM100 will be waive (repair cost will be charge instead)

mine is on R side, but after they diagnose, they said both side have crackling sound, so I get both side replaced smile.gif

i believe you can select Switch service center yourself, my browser disabled location service, i manage to select myself manually
yes, you can walk in Switch, Switch is Apple Authorized Service Provider in Malaysia, any Apple devices you buy elsewhere can send there smile.gif
if you make appointment, you can jump queue (let say there are few walk in customers in front of you)

btw, whats wrong with your AirPod and need to send to Switch?

usually wont replace immediately, dont think they send back SG, if they have replacement set, they will replace once diagnose the APP you send in is confirm with crackling sound and able to claim under the service program

all AASP have diagnostic service, they actually can diagnose immediately, but they have other customer devices sent in, probably depends on luck, if dont have many devices send in, it can be fast
for replacements, after they diagnosed, they will send in claim request to Apple, once approve they will replace for you (if they have replacement sets at the service center), otherwise need wait...

all of this, i would say average takes 5-7 working days.. base on my experience for sending in Apple stuffs to Switch AASP, sometime could be lucky enough to get replacement within 2-3 days

they wont tell you will get it in short time, you have to estimate more or less as stated in the service slip when you send in smile.gif

i think so, i dont listen music from when i switch to headset mode, mainly for online meeting, and i use iPhone to listen music, so is okay for me
if you listen music you may need switch to stereo mode, the headset mode could be not suitable for listening music, probably is good also since i know stereo mode the mic is off sweat.gif

the stock ear tip fit my ear well, so didnt really buy the spinfit
unless it does not fit your ear, you may try spinfit, else i dont see any reason to go for third party ear tip, most of the youtuber review highlight they look for third party is due to stock ear tip unable to fit well
