you can tell them, is known issue for AAP manufacture before Oct 2020, so if yours if purchase before Oct 2020, all the AASP you send in will know... they will check and run diagnostic, but it takes few days
but take note that if you dont have the issue, and ask them to check, after inspect no issue, they might charge you at least for Switch AASP they stated in the servicing slip

make sense, else everyone claim have issue.... they no need service other thing

if you dont have other better earphone, can buy first, now can get <RM800 during lazada/shopee sales
even if it will be come next year 1H, til it reach Malaysia could be another 2-3 months... APP spend 2 months to reach Malaysia previously
if airpods 3 release this Sept, the earliest for pro model could be March/April 2022

by looking at the AirPods and AirPods Pro release date

AirPods
1st generation: December 13, 2016
2nd generation: March 20, 2019
3rd generation: coming Sept, 2021?
there is a gap around ~2.5 years

AirPods Pro
1st generation: 30 October, 2019
2nd generation: 2022?

make sure you buy the new airpods pro with new magsafe case
dont think existing stock you can find now in Malaysia comes with new magsafe case
if you not bothering the magsafe case, or and can wait 11.11, should be able to get ~RM750 or cheaper from authorized seller in lazada/shopee

*be careful when purchase online, seek the sifus here with link attach, they will let you know is genuine or not
no different from retailer or online seller, warranty is direct send back AASP

hopefully come next year H1 2022, is time for my 2years+ APP to be replace by that time

if so, should announce somewhere around March/April, but then take few weeks to reach Malaysia
my APP still working great... replace once this year for crackling sound, eventually before replace also doing great...
