the url is embedded in the shortcut file. i changed the shortcut url, but later on, it came back

anybody has any clue how to remove this malware? googling doesnt help cause it only ask me to install some antimalware, which i am pretty sure are malware themselves

You may have agreed to some conditions when you installed click bait software on your system.
I would suggest you clean the system of unwanted programs first.
To do that, go to control panel and remove the software that seem malicious.
Then remove their settings from Chrome.
I hope this helps!

I believe your system is compromised, do you have any anti-virus or anti-malware installed ? run a scan on the entire system to be sure.

Another method is use another computer to download MalwareBytes, then installed it on the affected computer. Hopefully it can detect & auto-clean for you.

Worst case is you need to backup all your data, do a reformat & install anti-virus then only restore back your data (do a scan before restoring).

I think you need to get a new external harddisk and copy important data into it. Your external harddisk will be infected by virus so please be cautious and don't connect to another PC. Then now do a clean reformat to the harddisk, use another PC to create a Windows bootable USB thumbdrive. Do a clean installation for your Windows, make sure to delete the harddisk then redo partition and reformat. After clean install a new Windows, the first thing you need to do is install an anti-virus before you connect the infected external harddisk. Scan it thoroughly before you restore all your important data from the external harddisk.
