Anyone here experiencing intermittent connectivity with a multi-sim (phy SIM + eSIM) configuration ?

Despite both cellular data are on maximum signal strength on open area, I experienced disconnections halfway on applications/games that needs the constant data communication.

Apple support had suggested to perform a hard restart of the device , but that didn’t seemed to help either. Not sure it’s a hardware or iOS related issue, as I’ve few peers that experienced the same

don't quote me on this but afaik news from the internet saying ever since apple using intel modems their connectivity has been poor compared to qualcomm modems... but for my personal experience i don't experience disconnections... maybe wait for update? i'm on ios13.2 public beta and the recent 4th beta fixes the LTE issue... maybe can give it a try

I don’t have this issue but I’m only using a physical SIM on maxis.

It’s slower than Qualcomm modems for sure. I tested my wife’s XS Max besides my OP 7 Pro previously and the difference is embarrassing, frankly biggrin.gif

silencer5089 How is the oleophobic coating on the sapphire Imos? Does it last significantly longer compared to normal TG SP?

And I know the sapphire should almost be impossible to scratch, but I guess it’s more prone to crack if dropped on the floor?

Looking to finally try out imos, but the price really needs some persuading before I cash it haha!

Thats one thing up to your decide factor when choosing screen protector for ur phone...

if you're a careful person who basically never drop your phone and fussy with hairline scratches and smoothness... i would say sapphire is a go, cause my sisters' xs max is using first gen sapphire and 6 months later the coating still good as new... given the fact from my experience ladies phone the screen protector oleophobic coating usually wear off faster reason from throwing their phone in the bag, make up stick on the phone, and sometimes accidental scratches from their earring... my sister has all these 3 happening to the sapphire but it still is good as new

sapphire = impossible to scratch but breaks easier
corning = harder to break but easier to scratch

afterall glass is still glass, it will break if there are forces impacted on it or drop... the only reason we use it is to protect our precious phone screen icon_rolleyes.gif

hope this info helps thumbup.gif

Alright thanks for the info!

I’m quite careful with my phone, so I rarely drop it, maybe once or twice accidental drops and that’s it, and I know it’s almost impossible to simulate drops but if the sapphire happens to crack/ shatter on the first drop then would be heart broken hahaha

Any ideas about the oleophobic coating for Corning vs Sapphire? Because that’s one factor I’m particular about, the cheap TG’s oleophobic coating usually wear off very fast and causes the screen to be very uncomfortable to use.

I’m on eSIM only. No such issue. No Physical sim at the moment, will only use that when overseas.

oleophobic is awesome! lasts wayyy longer than corning
imos corning by itself is already good, sapphire i can say is 3x longer lasting for the coating

Had one last night - but ever so briefly. After that, the app crashed by itself and when I relaunched it, it was working as normal. I dismissed it as a bug in the app but if you also had it then it could be a minor OS bug instead.

Yes my maxis eSim have such problem, 1 week at least will have few times, however my tunetalk physical sim doesnt have such problem. But I guess mine was more on Maxis problem than the phone.

Yes during the early usage after updating to 13.1.3, so far at least 4 days i did not have any hiccups unless the app crashed only

Facing the same issue too on the Pro Max. Using Digi as physical SIM and Maxis as eSIM, both full LTE signal but whatsapp sometimes stuck at connecting and can't refresh Instagram feed. Toggling flight mode seems to be a temporary solution

let me tell a story. happen last week sunday.
my bro went to cancel his zerolution 360. (he is deaf)
he didnt know the concept of leasing etc.
just found out. he can buy it out right so wth maxis sold him dat shit with xs. anyway gave him 4k to pay off da the contract and then sold his phone for him. rugi 600

so when he went to maxis klcc sunday 4pm mind ya. they said no pro max 256gb etc etc only got 11 pro. said had to wait till november blah blah blah.
told him nvrmind just pay it off. every month is throwing money. then downgrade his plan until theres stock (he is 188 ya.. he can finish 158 quota gb easily ) . told him can use my spare iphone 6 plus at home. when he told the girl suddenly. she said come back in 2 hours. they will have pro max 256gb green for him. so he paid off his xs max. took norm contract rm4k plus after subsidy.

so wtf right. maxis klcc ya. you guys think coincidence??

uags. 11pro max, xs max, 11 pro. pic taken from 7plus.. so sowie about dat.
