Thats one thing up to your decide factor when choosing screen protector for ur phone...

if you're a careful person who basically never drop your phone and fussy with hairline scratches and smoothness... i would say sapphire is a go, cause my sisters' xs max is using first gen sapphire and 6 months later the coating still good as new... given the fact from my experience ladies phone the screen protector oleophobic coating usually wear off faster reason from throwing their phone in the bag, make up stick on the phone, and sometimes accidental scratches from their earring... my sister has all these 3 happening to the sapphire but it still is good as new

sapphire = impossible to scratch but breaks easier
corning = harder to break but easier to scratch

afterall glass is still glass, it will break if there are forces impacted on it or drop... the only reason we use it is to protect our precious phone screen  icon_rolleyes.gif

hope this info helps  thumbup.gif

here is a strength test for the sapphire screen protector

oleophobic is awesome! lasts wayyy longer than corning
imos corning by itself is already good, sapphire i can say is 3x longer lasting for the coating

with waze, dark mode, lowbat mode.

what consumes the battery is cause you are driving and with sunlight etc the auto brigtness will be maxed out.
gps doesnt effect the bat much when you are in populated area (strong signal) afaik

how thick is the casing? the only way to prevent scratching on lens is to have it thicker than the body + lens itself

the design for humps are meant to prevent the lens touching the surface directly. most people diss the hump saying its pointless, but that is what its for in exchange for not so flat phone

i have a friend who bought a case that flatten it out for her XR, ended up her lens scratched kao2 cause its constantly touching the surface, being super flat

while my ip6 which ive used entire 4 years of its life without casing has not a single scratch to the lens (but the hump metal rings are butchered haha)

Yes, no problem for the lens scratching problem since using ip3gs with case on it.
