becoz its OK to be mediocre since its "National" , so everybody is obligated to support for better or worse (same like MAS... our National Flyer). Despite the rot , nobody dare to voice until until one fine day its too late to save anymore. spend millions to import talent (manager,CEO, coach) outside to improve they also shake heads.


Let's look at our non national sports like squash or gymnastic even. They get less attention ,support from rakyats /funding from gomen probably. They shine and make us proud, When reach regional success..suddenly rakyats start to pay attention pulak.

I still think the exposure and support given to promote football image in M'sia is lacking, I still see people thinking that football is for specific race and will not be easy or bring success for the non-specific races.

Brendan has been in the team for a while now, watched him from younger times till now 30+. Had hopes that there would be more interests on M'sia football previously but now I just hope there will be another one to keep the spark on.

it's wrong to assume everyone support FAM and national football blindly
people do voice a lot regarding our national football, especially those who closely follow the scene
to be honest, our national football team is improving compared to 5 years ago

also, constructive criticism =/= simply kutuk
u dunno the scene but you selamba come in and kutuk
pipu say u bodo then u angry

Two types:

1) Haters and criticize due to hating
2) Supporters and criticize when not meet expectation with the current quality of the team

there is the third type

3) Only will support if the team ever start winning a.k.a. glory hunter

So yes, there are differences when being asked whether someone really follows the local football or watch match.

Too many losses and still coaching.

Need fast fast sacking and appoint new coach.

True thats something we had problem with. Our football identity. Are we counter attacking team? Are we a passing team? We never seemed to settle.

Strange thingvis that age teams like U16 and U19 always perform better. When players graduated to senior squad lain mcm jadi. How?

because even though America doesn't put football as a priority compared to their other sports.. half of their national team players still play in the European league.. their team is considered pretty ok with all the experience they have in their squad

By the look of it we are a passing team against teams of similar or less strength
But when it comes to much stronger opponents I also clueless
We do try to play defensively and do counterattacks but we are slow for that
