please go to Device Manager and check the driver that is currently installed. Is it the Agere Systems HDA modem version 2.1.77.9? If it is, then is should be the correct driver. Try uninstalling it and installing it again using the driver from the CD. Otherwise, you can check the old post for sites whee you can download the modem driver. Goo luck!
i've been did this step, but doens't work. i'm trying to unsinstall my XP now. a big trouble shoot me. my modem doesn't detected. i'm trying again to install the driver that i get from acer.cn and from the CD. what should i do? any body can help me?????
