Maybe you can more description on where it lagged?

The screen resolution, the camera and the OS is full of bloat to name a few. Still, it's a good entry level phone for the price.

I agree on the camera part though. It is a little buggy. I used the camera for an event last Sunday. Took a lot of pictures, then the camera started to become buggy. After snapping a picture & you immediately try to snap again, the shutter icon will have a round circle showing 'processing' before you can snap a picture again.

There was a flash sale yesterday on Lazada at RM 479 (64gb) version.

Mine was a 4GB/128GB one. I bought on 12.12 for 649 and sold it at 400. There was already a Realme 5i so I think my loss wasn't too bad

Yeah, plus photos of human subjects were unusable - the skin tone was too artificial for my liking.

Go to camera setting.......disable watermark.

To those with Realme 5, is it good for old folks to use? I'm looking phone below RM500 so other brand also can suggest as long as its android phone.

It's a bit big and heavy. The resolution also not very sharp so may not be suitable if the old folks do a lot of reading on the phone. Other than that, the battery life is superb. Forget to charge also no problem

Realme 5i.....with 6.5" screen i think is ok.

I don't think old folks have sharp eyes to spot the difference anywau. The old phone already less than 720p but not a problem for them. Will look into it.

The 5I is a cheaper version of the 5 - but the specs are pretty similar save for the selfie camera.

Only the camera MP not same & ram/storage. Other than that.....same. Realme 5i is the cheapest among Realme 5 family. Snappy 665 with 6.5" screen with this price..............mana mau cari?
