Damn it's annoying to lose to this lot, but you know what the mickey mouse cup is a huge distraction anyway. If anything we need to analyse why we play so awful against utd under frank, it's like everyone turns into these slow thinking and slow moving zombies, such a far cry from our other performances against much, much, better teams.

Pulisic should've stayed on imo, pedro never should've come on, I struggle to recall anything useful he did for his cameo,other than giving away some really useless fouls.

Why was bats taken off again? If there was a game to try and get tammy and michy combining as a pair in the last few minutes, surely this was it. It's like making subs just for the sake of it, same as the pedro / pulisic one. Lamps will learn I guess. Hope we continue our winning steak in the league. A lot wrong with today's performance.

I think he tried it once in pre-season and it didn't work out, and he ditched the idea entirely. With our midfield permanently in injury crisis, you'd think he'd experiment with one of the positions where we've been injury free.

I'm not too fussed about being kicked out of the carabao cup though. The real attraction of keeping tabs on the competition was seeing our brightest prospects (kakuta, josh mc eachran, solanke, etc in the past) in action. But now that our best young stars are firmly part of the the first team squad in the form of CHO, tomori, mount, tammy,etc, there really is no reason to go on a cup run which serves to overwork them even further.

But this season it's exactly that. No real incentive to remain in it, we don't have the squad to commit, and we simply have bigger fish to fry.

Note: Utd have gone on to lose to Bournemouth, now the carabao has become an unwanted distraction for them as well.

Before that mistake, jorgi and kovacic were untouchable in the middle. Then they suddenly decided to play around in the box, when they just got away with a close call merely minutes prior to that. Indeed frank should have a word with them not to overdo it.

Special mention goes to michy who I think was very good when he came on, showed some real deft touches and great strength.
