Better to have more buffer than less. For IBKR once you -ve ex liquidity they would just liquidate without asking u . U have to monitor your exliq constantly .

Should I be worry about this? I'm only selling Secured Puts, and the Strike Price did not exceed my Total Cash. Even if got assigned i still have around 6% buffer

0 fees for time being for US stocks due to promotion period.

The FAQ seems gooding also since they charge 0 for currency exchange. Cannot deposit using Wise though.. Must deposit via SG bank:

I've recently tried creating an IBKR account because I wanted to invest with the knowledge ITT. Unfortunately, I had to cancel my application as I tried to register for a higher income account and couldn't send them proofs.

The problem is I deposited funds into the account and they said they have sent the refund through bank transfer.

Now this was supposedly done on the 2nd August but I have not received anything in my bank account. IBKR have given me the MT900/MT910 code but Maybank says they can't see anything and are unable to check.

What options do I have? Should I check with BNM?

I meant declaring my earnings as higher than it is for an individual account when I wrote "Higher income account". I read there are some limitations for accounts opened with lower income declared such as day trading limits, etc. That's my mistake for sure. I just wanted the extra options, most likely wasn't even going to use them.

I didn't think about the downgrade route at that time...

As of now I just want my money back so I don't mind the extra charges that come with a bank transfer. I've contacted BNM's ombudsman and they advised that a receiver can't request for details of a transfer, it's all on the sender. I've sent IBKR CS a request for that, lets see how it goes.

my lifesavings went zero 3 times before... excluding my backpacking days... lol... I know how it feels to have no money... skipping lunches and dinners... have to work so hard man... lucky those times still got job...
