Is REIT generally good in particular? I thought REITs only good because they pay steady dividend.

QUOTE(dwRK @ Apr 22 2022, 01:16 PM) Pretty sure we'll bailed out before it does. but from now to retire still quite a long way. So i believed it's better to invest in growth stock. But i do keep a portion of my portfolio (currently still large portion) at Bursa on Maybank, and some other dividend stock. If, for whatever reason at least those money is easily cash out and transfer to your bank than to wait for IBKR. Can IBKR Transfer to Local bank using Wise? |

QUOTE(dwRK @ Apr 22 2022, 03:04 PM) Yes... but you don't want to be losing your capital... or worse off than FD... Let's hope no one here will have to go through that "selling process", do not leverage and do not get too greedy.ibkr to wise usd account... then wise (usd to myr conversion) to myr account... do in 2 step... cannot do 1 step, ibkr to wise (usd to myr conversion) to myr account Will look into the Wise USD account, i did heard that Wise can hold multiple currency and transfer to another bank, or use their Card to make payment |

QUOTE(Ramjade @ Apr 24 2022, 11:11 PM) Either you pay for it or just get tiget broker for real time data. I mean the 15mins late in data shouldn't affect too much for options right?Another alternative is open TD account. Deposit in sgd500 and you get real time data. By the way, anyone use the TWS from IBKR? IBKR mentioned it's real time data on TWS Source:https://www.interactivebrokers.com/en/?f=%2...yMonitoring.php |

QUOTE(Ramjade @ Apr 25 2022, 08:50 AM) There's no real time for IB unless you pay for it even on tws. You can just use market rate. But you will get lower premium but it gets filled instantly. Any advice/guide/tips for running options for new player?I'm looking at PLTR Sells options at $10, Then i realized that if you count premium/day, 3rd weeks usually higher offer premium/day. QUOTE(noveus @ May 6 2022, 01:47 PM) Guys, I'm not sure how to Transfer using Local bank, but why don't you use Wise? Sorry. Newbie here. When I am transfering via Maybank2U to IBKR, it requires their business registration/identification number? What should I put in there? It's much cheaper than using Local Bank to transfer and better Fx Rate. |

QUOTE(hedfi @ May 14 2022, 02:39 PM) Are forumers here still funding IBKR despite the strong USD in preparation for some good bargain? Been holding back for a month but missing out on some good buy You're losing on opportunity cost if you continue to hold on until MYR raise. Just transfer whenever you hit your target. I'll use myself as example, I transfer $1k every 3-4 months then I'll DCA $250 per month into the stock I want and keep the $750 for next month or to buy when opportunity arise. esyap liked this post

Anyone mind PM me how to create multi currency account within Wise? I plan to top-up early end of the month (Was schedule in July) but the amount is roughly <=$1k, which i feel if i transfer to CIMB SG and pay the $2 conversion might not worth it compare to Bank -> Wise -> IBKR

QUOTE(Davidtcf @ Jun 1 2022, 03:15 PM) Mine still the old routing number when I check at IBKR: Still same routing number as i just did the transfer yesterday morning. Just login today to check, seems not in yet so i shall wait till next Monday then. God know i'm gonna throw in more money so purposely pump the stock price so when i buy it dip again.Hmm maybe some users migrated to new routing number. Wait it out a bit and see. I logged ticket to IBKR before as there was once I waited 3 working days for my funds to appear (Sat Sun, non working days not included as part of calculation). They weren’t helpful and just ask me use Bank Wire next time. Btw Monday was public holiday in US.. could explain the delay. |

QUOTE(tadashi987 @ Jun 13 2022, 11:11 PM) correct me if I am wrong, this should only the application first deposit, not normal transfer right? Unsure, but early march i did the transfer using CIMB Malaysia to Transfer S$10 and Wise for the rest, the message was there but i simply ignore it and it goes through (Maybe they fixed it?). The most recent transaction i did is when i received the 10K from EPF and use Wise to transfer, no issue as well.Currently i don't route through SG. For my IBKR topup, i just directly using Wise then using ACH Transfer to IBKR, which don't make a huge different and i save $2 for the conversion fee. This doesn't mean CIMB SG is redundant, it's still one way to get your money from IBKR back to MYR (Or directly cash out and used it in Singapore) This post has been edited by Lon3Rang3r00: Jun 14 2022, 11:40 AM bcombat and tadashi987 liked this post
