Will try to call them tomorrow, hope can settle fast. I phobia talked with bank CS.. then waiting time can be very stressful.
*
I had the same thinking until I called Maybank SG CS.

Mein gott it was so much better than local Maybank CS.
Thumbs up

Just did a wise transfer to IBKR. Will be a proud owner of VWRA soon πŸ˜†

Next time i direct Wise transfer to IBKR.... sigh~ now waiting for the bank to open.
*
Yeah, I did direct transfer from Wise to IBKR as Maybank took their sweet time to open the sg account.

Sg bank account is basically used to withdraw from IBKR in the future and some hedge against myr. πŸ‘€

Hi Guys, need help. Now I create IBKR, and wise.
Now I stuck on the step between wise and IBKR.

I do
1) wise, pick "USD",
2) ibkr, USD -> wire -> it return a Citibank info, but when I try in wise as:
2a) swift, not supported by wise
2b) local transfer, the Citibank account number deem invalid by wise.
So what you guys usually pick for direct transfer from wise to ibkr?

Edit: ibkr pick SGD or GBP, and wire transfer?
*
Well, let us introduce you to a local YouTuber.

Search for ziest wise ACH transfer tutorial

Do go through his tutorial on using IBKR web also.

πŸ‘

Make sure to set your IBKR default currency as GBP or USD or SGD of your choice. Then use the wise currency wallet as set in IBKR to transfer.

Just want to confirm.

I transfer all funds as USD into IBKR.

But if I want to purchase Singapore stocks. I will need to exchange some funds to SGD in IBKR before proceeding right?

Are forumers here still funding IBKR despite the strong USD in preparation for some good bargain? Been holding back for a month but missing out on some good buy

Well there is a saying.

Penny wise pound foolish.

Might as well get the current discounted stock if you think it to be so.

Thus you are not seeing the bigger picture.

Just to save a penny you miss the opportunity cost associated with it.

Well, your money your choice but if a good company is in a discounted price, wouldn't you straight away get that opportunity regardless?

Then you are trying to invest too much.
There is also a saying.
Invest in the amount that t you are willing to lose.

Start small first then. An amount you won't lose sleep or called it substantial amount.

Anyone mind PM me how to create multi currency account within Wise? I plan to top-up early end of the month (Was schedule in July) but the amount is roughly <=$1k, which i feel if i transfer to CIMB SG and pay the $2 conversion might not worth it compare to Bank -> Wise -> IBKR
*
Again YouTuber

Ziest wise πŸ‘€πŸ‘

Easier to register than IBKR

Just need to top up the specific currency wallet and walah, you got your very own virtual currency bank info with it.
