Shop promoter a lot of time has vested interest. They just want to sell.
Want to sell A brand time, say B brand no good, A better choice.

Installer know more about aircond than those shop promoter because of hand on installing.
Better ask installer, as whether A or B brand, they still charge the same fee, hence they are more neutral in comment.

Different effect, if your air cond is installed above your ceiling fan; the dilution of cool and hot air will be better.

For me, my air cond is below my ceiling fan, and I have the option for air to be directed to me or away from me and the option of using my ceiling fan or not. More flexible.
