Psalm 37 :1-11 (NIV) :

1 Do not fret because of those who are evil
or be envious of those who do wrong;

2 for like the grass they will soon wither,
like green plants they will soon die away.

3 Trust in the Lord and do good;
dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.

4 Take delight in the Lord,
and he will give you the desires of your heart.

5 Commit your way to the Lord;
trust in him and he will do this:

6 He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn,
your vindication like the noonday sun.

7 Be still before the Lord
and wait patiently for him;
do not fret when people succeed in their ways,
when they carry out their wicked schemes.

8 Refrain from anger and turn from wrath;
do not fret—it leads only to evil.

9 For those who are evil will be destroyed,
but those who hope in the Lord will inherit the land.

10 A little while, and the wicked will be no more;
though you look for them, they will not be found.

11 But the meek will inherit the land
and enjoy peace and prosperity.

Matthew 19:21-26 (NIV)

21 Jesus answered, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”

22 When the young man heard this, he went away sad, because he had great wealth.

23 Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Truly I tell you, it is hard for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of heaven.

24 Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.”

25 When the disciples heard this, they were greatly astonished and asked, “Who then can be saved?”

26 Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

==============================

This is an illustration, we have read this passage in the bible so many time...we may think the Rich Young Ruler could not be saved but Jesus Christ said this......with Man this is impossible but with God all things are possible.

Meaning with God..even the young rich ruler could be saved. We think Sin like love of money, lust, etc makes it impossible for a person to be saved.

Yet the word of God says even such sins, does not mean it's hard or impossible for God to save the person.

There is always hope in the God of the Israel, the God of the Bible.

God Bless.

Why God does not answer?

Galatians 5:4 (KJV) - Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.

Hello Fellow Believers of Christ,

We have this problem where there are some of us who live under the new covenant but with an old covenant mindset. You understand there is a new covenant but predominantly, the old covenant rule and shape the person's walk with The Lord.

We have this idea where we think we are alright before God via our actions. Nothing wrong in that. But we've missed it if that is how we see God's truth, because ultimately what we are saying, we are made right depending on our actions measured against God's Law.

That is what it means in Galatians 5 verse 4 where it says.."whosoever of you are justified by the law".

Any believers who hold the view that our action is what justifies us, the Bible tells us...Christ becomes of no effect unto us and we have fallen from "Grace". It's a very terrible position be under because defeat and failures will be, the only answers.

This devotion may rustle some of you but I share this with the intention that you see Bible truth and thus set free from your shackles.

So what truth view should Christians hold then?

The answer lies in one chapter before that..Galatians 4.

Well the Bible tells us in verse 30 of Galatians 4 to "Cast out, the Bondwomen and her son" referring to the Old Covenant of the 10 commandments.

Get rid of the old covenant out of your life completely. You are to embrace the covenant of the "Free Women and the promised Son", which is the New Covenant, all about the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.

What are we to embrace everyday? Well according what the Bible tells us...that we are "made" righteous by our Faith in the Son of God, Jesus Christ.

Some may misunderstand to think to get rid of the Old Covenant is to live a careless sinful life. No. To be able to live a holy and righteous life can only be found under the New Covenant which is by Grace..undeserved and unearned favor of God.

Under this covenant, the Lord Answers!

God Bless.

God says "Don't come near mount Sinai"

Exodus 19:12 (NIV) Put limits for the people around the mountain and tell them, ‘Be careful that you do not approach the mountain or touch the foot of it. Whoever touches the mountain is to be put to death

In Hebrews 12 (18-24), Bible tells us, God is no longer on Mount Sinai where the 10 commandments was given where there is "fear", but on Mount Zion where there is "joy". We need to know this before we continue further.

What happened in the OT are lessons for Christians to understand. We all know that God told the Israel not to come near the mountain, where even no human nor animals may touch lest they be killed.

How would you feel if God tell you not to come near Him like in the OT?

God never use this language "Don't come near" prior to the 10 commandments.

If you know your Bible, God was close to the Israelites in their exodus journey..in pillar of cloud by day and pillar of fire by night. God was guarding them, in the front and back.

Tell me if that is not closeness?

How come before the giving of the Law, God was close and dispense much grace where even when the Israelites sin, they did not die?
How come after the giving of the Law, God says don't come near and when the Israelites sin, they died?

Today's devotion is something for you to digest.

Read Galatians 4:30 and ask the Holy Spirit to give you revelation of what is said above.

On which mountain to do you stand upon? You cannot have both, God would not have it and He is no longer on the old mountain.

Mount Zion is where your can put your trust in the Lord for Salvation, not your trust in your own performances.

God Bless

Hi Charmz83, what you have here is quite precious.

Not everyone has vision or dreams, I believe in what you've seen.

Personally I only have a vision once and I've not really shared with anybody.

Anyway.....We believe there is no other Salvation other than Jesus Christ.

He is the only way to Heaven. This world will come to an end and then there will be judgement. Yes there will be a new Heaven/Jerusalem.

It's still not too late. If you're up for it, you can pray the sinner's prayer and receive Jesus Christ as your God and Savior.

You can pm me.

Thanks for believing me! I know it's quite hard for some people to believe. I myself always wonder how is it even possible, if it's real.

I have been searching for a good church in the past few years.. Recently I found a church and joined their connect group. So far, it has been great.

My group have helped me to receive Jesus Christ. I will ask them on how to pray the sinner's prayer. Thanks for your advise!

Please do share your vision, I believe Jesus wants you to spread the gospel.

Romans 4:5 (NIV) - However, to the one who does not work but trusts God who justifies the ungodly, their faith is credited as righteousness.

If you think that you are ungodly, then you qualify for God to redeem you.

But if you think that you have it all together, you have not missed anything, then The Lord Jesus Christ cannot be an effect unto you. (Galatians 5:4)

But if everyday you believe you far from qualified for heaven because you are ungodly, God justify you by your trust (Faith) in his Son.

God Bless

2 Timothy 2:13 (NIV) - if we are faithless, he remains faithful, for he cannot disown himself.

I love God for his faithfulness. Even when sometime we as believers falter and fall, God remains faithful in loving us.

It is what draws me to come to Him every single time without fail.

Romans 3:3 tells us

"What if some did not have faith? Will their lack of faith nullify God's faithfulness?"

The word of God tells us time and time again, God is ever unchanging. He is stable and sure even when we are. This is what makes Him God.

This why we can come to Him who is eternal.

I post this in appreciation to God who is there for you when and if no one else will.

I pray this devotion will encourage you to come to Him.

God Bless.

To Believe against all odds

Hebrews 11:19 (NIV) - Abraham reasoned that God could even raise the dead, and so in a manner of speaking he did receive Isaac back from death.

I don't know about you, but I've always wondered why God tested such a seemingly cruel test on Abraham. I mean to plunge a knife into your own child is something that doesn't make any sense that is of God.

Yet the Bible tells us whatever that has happened recorded in the Bible is for our leaning of why. (Romans 15:4)

The Lord gave me this verse in Hebrews 11:19 to answer my question. You know it's alright to ask God tough questions, even if it's a scary one. The Lord will answer.

This happened to Abraham so that He would be called the Father of Faith*. If there's any extreme example, Abraham would be it.

*Galatians 3:9 (NIV) - So those who rely on faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith.

Abraham believed God even beyond what is rational. That test is indeed beyond rationality but how many times we say we believe in God through the storms? Is it just for the fun of saying it, but in reality, we aren't sure ourselves.

Abraham reasoned that God could even raise the dead. He was willing to do it because he believe God is good, despite of the impossibility of the situation. Do you hear me brothers and sisters?

We need to have the same faith as Abraham, believing God in the impossibility as in Hebrews 11:19.

I pray Holy Spirit of God gives you this revelation.

God Bless.

What about difficulties?

2 Corinthians 1:9 (NIV) - Indeed, we felt we had received the sentence of death. But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead.

Grace be to you fellow believers.

We see some scripture verses that talks about matters like martyrdom, life difficulties, etc and we wonder, what If I just can't go through it? What if I'm unwilling? I think that is more of the issue. Some of us are not willing to face difficulties like family persecution or authority persecution because of our faith.

Allow me to arrest this issue by saying this straight. Every Christian will have tribulation in their life. This is a promise by God. BUT NOT every Christian will encounter the "exact" same type of tribulation. And martyrdom is a calling and is not for everyone. You will each own have your own life challenges.

When we read passages in 2 Corinthians 4 verse 7 to 12

Some of us get a bit frightened. These are very serious and very real situations.

Yet we often forgot John 10:10 and we just read it without considering it's reality.

You all know John 10:10...the thief come to ...? What are those 3 things? They are real, to remind you. Kill, Steal and Destroy. Some of us read this without thinking much of it.
We think it's just a a jargon saying and brush it off. Yet Jesus said, I've come to give you life and to the full. THAT is equally real.

There is difficulties and there is...also deliverance. It doesn't stop at difficulties.

I would like you to meditate on today devotion scripture verse above. (2 Corinthians 1:9)

The last verse of 2 Corinthians 4 also tells us this;

18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

Is it just to merely look to what is unseen, eternal God and that's it? No.

Apostle Paul wrote this.

2 Corinthians 1:10 (NIV) - He has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us again. On him we have set our hope that he will continue to deliver us,

God has, God will and God will continue to deliver us.

So again, it doesn't stop at difficulties, there is deliverance! I pray you will meditate on this and receive it's truth.

God Bless.

Faith is where you know the true. Is like jumping out from darkness to light. Not the other way which is jumping into darkness. The word/Bible is the true.
John 14:6 – “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the father except through me.”

Paul wrote that “all scripture is breathed out by God” (2 Timothy 3:16).

Faith according to God's Word , (there are few references)

has been defined as...Confidence, assurance, substance....

In the Greek it's the word "hupostasis" which means something like "guaranteed agreement", like a title deed to a property.

The world does not understand Bible Faith, they call it blind faith.

But from Christian perspective it is the EXACT opposite, it's a guaranteed agreement where Jesus said, you will receive what you believe in.

Yet just to add in, if that is the case, how come there there are prayers that has NO as the answer or NO answers at all? We forget, THAT is also the answer from God.

Then there is also the matter of healing and death etc?

When it comes to healing, I know for a fact, healing is always in the will of God. You will not find any references in scripture where God refuse to heal. Never. So when that is no answer for healing, we need to persevere in prayer and never give up believing for this. We always forget there is the enemy of our soul who fights against you for this.

Then there is the matter of death. How do you account for that? The answer for this is in the Bible, everyone's life has been written from beginning to end.

Psalms 139:16 - ...all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be..

This verse helps us to understand when it come to the matter of death, if it's time then it's time. It is not right to use faith as an argument against God.
