That's one reason why it is advisable not to get a DX10 card yet. However, I still think the drivers are still not yet optimized and these early games do not take full advantage of DX10 capabilities/features. Maybe crysis will give a better picture?

There's only so long that one can wait. DX10 will mature but at what point do you consider mature enough? Don't forget that drivers are constantly tweak and will usually improve frame rates even years down the line.

I guess it boils down to a few factors:
1) How long you can wait before you want to play DX10 games
2) How lower do you want the prices to drop
3) How much you're willing to spend
4) How mature do you want vista and DX10 drivers to be

I'm also waiting but probably until I see some real reason to get a DX10 card and also some reviews on the performance of these cards on true DX10 games. So far, those DX10 games that are out are disappointing!

Don't forget, as Vista/DX10 drivers/DX10 games mature, the frame rates will also improve......

How come they put HD 2x00XT? And the 8800GTX is only slightly faster than the 8800GTS???

Can you provide the link? Interested to know more......
