well.. i would suggest getting a matured DX10 hardware

how to define matured.. for example.. in directx9 for ATI the first card is radeon 9700 and X1950XT is the last in the DX9 range of hardware.

and for nvidia, geforcefx is DX9 in its first form and 7900GTX is the last or was it called matured DX9 card.

for ati/nvidia, it takes abt 3 generations of their range of cards for DX9 to reach where it is now.

^^ if u want vista + aero (DX10 is now compulsory for vista premium) then go for DX10 cards

i don't see any other reason to go DX10 yet...

nvidia = geforcefx then geforce6 series then geforce 7 series (7800) and then 7900 series

ati = 9700 series then X800 series then X1800 then X1900 series
