Not sure if it's just me cuz I feel that the progress in porting mainstream apps into App Gallery have slowed down, the first few months has been great though but still not enough.

If I'm not wrong, Huawei doesn't allow their official stores to sideload GMS, it's also illegal for them to do that.

Can set AOD being active during certain times, it's seriously a great feature even though it drains a little bit of battery. smile.gif

Google Map works fine on my P40 with HMS, just that I couldn't login, you can search for it on Petal Search.

As far as I've experienced, Baidu Map isn't designed well to be used outside China, even HERE Map works better. hmm.gif

They allow AMD and Intel because Huawei doesn't really bring threat to the PC market, it's obvious they're trying too hard to stop Huawei from rising again in the smartphone market.

Weibo is available, both China and International versions, I'm using the China version downloaded from App Gallery.

As for QQ, only the international version is available, maybe they didn't enable it for our region, but it's definitely available in China region, you can still search for it in Petal Search though.

Nope, you can download it from Petal Search.

It works, only the map won't show up which you can't pinpoint your location.

Personally tried with Honkai Impact 3 before and indeed it will be tied to your Huawei ID, guess it's the same for most games in App Gallery

The only workaround is probably installing apk, but only if it doesn't force you to have GMS though.

Updates have been quite slow for Huawei lately, only received the August security patch update yesterday.

I fell for the battery replacement programme with my P10 previously, but I went to the Huawei SC in Plaza Berjaya instead.

They did charge me cheaper for some reason around RM 60, however nothing much has changed in terms of battery, ended up getting a P40 not too long after that.

Your experience may vary in different SC though, maybe I'll go for the one in Pavilion next time if I need to.

Global launch event, but China to get it first most likely.

Probably not too long for us since we're one of their key markets, also just to note that Huawei Pay should be launching here soon since there's already an option for us to add bank cards recently, however local bank cards still can't be saved yet.

My guess would be

Mate 40 - RM 2899

Hope I'm wrong though, but the limited stock for their Kirin chipset would really affect the pricing.

That's why not all countries will get it, only key markets especially in SEA region like ours will get it.

But I really hope it won't turn out to be more expensive than usual, they know their sales are declining like a lot.

That's weird, how about typing it like this - Petal Maps

Sometimes App Gallery will get confused if it's not typed in the correct way with capital letters on the first alphabets, not sure if it applies to this one too

I'm on P40 btw.
