For me it's worth it & it's very unlikely to screwed the installation. Netflix issue actually does not related to GMS. it's the company itself not yet certify Mate 30 pro. Hope they'll change their mind soon.

Yes, Netflix is not working. I heard the earlier version works (From Huawei SG staff. some older version, I wrote is somewhere, need to find) but not important to me as I don't want Netflix. As for as i know, all the banking apps work (at least for me. tested Maybank, OUB, OCBC, RHB, CIMB, HLB)

You can try the UAG case, abit expensive but it offer very good protection.

Is it L1? As if not L1, then the Netflix will only run in SD quality.

You will see label of HD in Netflix show if phone support L1.
Also HDR if phone support HDR.

Either you did not install Google Contact Sync apk or it was not installed properly. Go download the apk and install. After that restart your phone

It happen to one of the unit I installed. After reinstall and restart, it work fine

Haha, you know what. After I cloned all contact using phone clone suddenly the contact sync appear under Google account. Before that, no matter what I do, the contact sync was not even there.

Just now went into honor Huawei shop enquiry for the mate 30 pro, then ask them the Christmas campaign because Huawei website stated started today.

Just want to share some app that I've used since Mate 20 Pro era that can overcome some limitation in EMUI.

1. Tiles. Used to create shortcut in quick setting tiles. I mainly used it to create shortcut for adaptive (auto) brightness toggle sqitch because Huawei forgot to put it there, LOL. Also, I used it to create shotcut for dual sim setting as I frequently switching between sim 1 & 2 at certain area.

2. Vivid Navigation Gesture. For anyone like me who uses navigation gestures, this will helps a lot. I mainly use it to create another space in bottom left or right on the screen for additional gestures which in my case, to pull down the notification bar. This app allow you to assign a few area of the corner of the screen to be used as gesture pad to initiate a lot of action.

The advantages of this app compared to others (Fluid Navigation Gesture, etc) is the fact that users can entirely disable any gesture spot other than the one that we intend to use so it won't get in the way of the system original gesture action.

for those user , what is the reason that make you must buy this phone that could have problem and already have existing problem ?
The price is not cheap as well it is more expensive than p30 launch price. When you fork out so much money knowing you buying a incomplete product and with obvious flaw . Really curious .

So far use until now, quite impress. After gms loaded by Huawei staff and phone clone to copy my apps.
So far so good, banks apps using mbb and uob so far OK.

The reality is the software is flawed . Why user still insist to pick it rather than those like note 10+ that has more screen ratio and more functionality and rog phone 2 that has better screen , battery and spec and like one plus 7T that has full screen and faster software ?

What make user pick mate 30 ? if not price , software and hardware ?

Haha... In the office all also saying Huawei is nothing now without Google, then I use my mate 30 Pro like a boss in front of them. I even use maybank qr pay to show them is work.
