Yeah! I managed to buy 2 units of Mate 30 Pro from Huawei Official website. You have to be really quick to grab them. I waited until 12am sharp and placed order. Now can't wait to install the GMS when received. Hehe 😊

Chip manufacturers also need to sell their chipsets to make profits. Just like if you couldn't buy a particular brand of an item, you would simply just buy other brands. Simple as that.

for next year, is qualcomm, qualcomm already request permission from US gov to sell huawei complete chips set next year.
US should be approve cause there is usd 8b deal next year.
Imagine P50 n mate 50 with 875 chips.

But why exception for qualcomm but not TSMC? I think it's unlikely, maybe this time come purely from taiwan or korea brand...imagine exynos haha

because of the rules or lope hole that set/create by US gov.
Company that use US tech/Device to manufacturer chips can't produce custom chips for HUAWEI.
But company can sell ready none customize (every phone company using aka standard chip) to HUAWEI. (FYI TSMC don't have their own chips).

Today (09/08/2020) QUALCOMM officially request US gov approver for Trade between Huawei and QUALCOMM.

Estimated USD 8b which company can grab ?

TSMC ? do they have their own chip ?
Korea ? currently they facing difficulty to produce X60 (5g) and 5nm. (one of the reason IPHONE delay their launch this year).
MediaTek ? they still not up to Flagship device yet.
Intel ? hahahhahaah
who else can Huawei use ? Who can offer ?

US doesn't care about the money, to be specific, Trump doesn't care about it as long there's no chance for Huawei to rise again.

Google been requesting permission from US gov to do business with Huawei for ages already, and there's no changes, what makes it different with Qualcomm anyways?

To each of their own I guess, but I still believe Mediatek is the only way to go, there are no other options unless they're willing to build Kirin chipsets based on the architecture from some Chinese company but then the technology is still not up to par yet.

The current situation isn't about business, it's about a mad president trying to stop certain country from rising.

hhahaaha they don't care about money ? is about president (US ain't one man show country (FACT)) ?
Even MediaTek annouce 664% (recent) increase of their profit, they still no way close to flagship level (i do wish they can reach that level next year, reality it take them another 5 year, especially their new listed fund and CN gov 10 year green light) .....

(btw is not US gov allow or not (qualcomm just been nice like APPLE moving their mac pro manufacturer back to US (macpro never manufacturer outside US), is about that sanctions act, everyone can purchase qualcomm chips and resell to huawei).
