I’ve moved on from “good charging habits to preserve battery health”. I just charge it as and when I please, and usually I’ll charge it to full 100% before unplugging

I'm also using Apple CarPlay. The only drawback with the constant plugging in and out is the faster degradation of the battery. Other than that there should be no damage to your phone.

My charging habit has altered with the iPhone 11 Pro Max. I used to charge my phones every night to 100%, plug it out at 100% (typically around 10pm or 11pm), then get through the next day and charge again at night. Now, when I plug it into my car for CarPlay, I’ll get the battery up to about 70%-80% by the time I get home at night, then I won’t bother to charge the phone already and it’ll still have enough juice to get me through the next day

So, after a full charge on Thursday night, this was my battery stats as of this morning at 8am...


And after a full day’s usage till just moments ago...


So that’s 10 hours SOT over a 46-hour period. I’ve only ever once achieved such numbers on an Android phone, and that was with an Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 with a 5000mAh battery.

Pretty amazing.

Yes, I imagine next year Samsung will start putting 5000mAh batteries in their flagship to compete with the 11 Pro Max

During 10.10 got no deals for the iPhone 11 Pro coz it was just launched and stocks were insufficient to go around still.
