Thank you, going to Jewel Apple store this weekend just to get an Apple Watch

Keep in mind that the Sports Loop takes a while to be fully 'dried' - the Sports Band can just be wiped away with towel after washing / workout, but the Loop will take a while, even after drying. But its not to the extend of 'uncomfortable' when wet.

So I have the AW5 Cellular for over a week now, here's my observation:

Time:

5.45am (Removal from Charger) - 100%

1 hour workout with Apple Music streaming on cellular + connection to AirPods [Left phone in locker] - 70% by time I reach office at 8.30am.

Lunch time - 55% with standard Whatsapp notification on.

5.30pm - 25+- % connected to phone + wifi

8.30pm onwards - 15+- % connected to phone + wifi

10.00pm onwards - <10% connected to phone + wifi

Depending on how heavy my usage, by time I connect to the charger, the battery will be < 5% before 11.30pm.

By end of the day, if its not connected to the charger, the watch will just die. Literally can barely just a survive a full day + 1 hour workout. Bummer.

More or less like my experience when I turn cellular on. Also, radio streaming uses even more juice than Apple Music.

Actually come to think of it, you pay more for the cellular inclusive of mobile plan, but the battery is far worst for normal use.

Just thinking that Apple should really make the cellular version longer lasting in terms of battery efficiency because the battery drain really deters one from using the cellular function.

Its a good feature, but the battery drain really make me think twice of using it often.

Cellular version is good for travel or on the go usage.

One thing is no need to connect to iphone hotspot. Save the battery for ur iphone.

Secondly, using iPad as hotspot is good becos iPad has huge battery, it will be way comfortable than using iPhone as hotspot due to the battery life.

Lastly, if u go overseas and u buy overseas SIM card, u can put inside iPad to use and share connections to ur other devices without swapping out the main SIM card from ur iphone. Of course if you have newer iPhones that come with dual sim will be different story.

I know default app does show up pacing per km, but I kinda still prefer just showing km/hr if possible

I find if I switch of the noise monitoring function, the battery doesn't drain so fast. Certainly lasts the day easily. Yes, I've the LTE version.

Apple Watch App > Noise > Environmental Sound Measurements (slider to off)

I'm using the 11Pro Max version, but hardly ever use dual-sim except when travelling like you mentioned. Problem is, its hard to find e-sim for other countries tongue.gif Most of the time will resort to remote wifi like Roamingman.

Turned it off since Day 1 lol. Redundant app for me.

For my case its probably the LTE + AM Streaming + Workout app running hence the battery drain.

Got pb with my Apple Watch. After setup and add maxis I still can’t use the cellular. Hence I deleted the plan and pairing and want to add back again.
Supprsingly I can’t do that. As I have activated the plan and can no longer add it in. Call up maxis and they told me to go maxis center to throw away the existing plan and make a new one. Wah. So leceh??
