I ported out from GX50 to Yoodo.

So far very happy with Yoodo.

GX50 is good for budget users who wants so called unlimited plan, but speed capped and can't use for P2P downloads. And unlimited calls too.

There were months I was able to use up to 30gb data. For rm50 a month, can't complain much.

I just got off the phone with U Mobile Customer Service. After checking, the CS girl confirmed to me that there has been no change in the FUP, ie the existing threshold for throttling is still at 100GB of data per month and not 50GB per month. So, most likely Fake News from U Mobile's business enemies, who should be sued.

Anyone exceeded 50GB per month on GX30/50 phone plan and got throttled to 0.5Mbps at 8pm - 1am.?

Im using gx50 and my data already exceed 50gb. My soeed got throttled 4days ago. I never know theres limit in gx50 since the plan is unlimited.

I complain to cs everyday. They said i abuse FUP, i ask them to show me which policy i had abused and they dont give me anything accept FUP link on umobile. I keep read FUP but not stated limit data at 50gb.

For others will said im crazy using more than 50gb data in a month, but my work need me to used much more data. Thats why i subscribe this plan gx50.

Its not fair for us since umobile never stated in their policy and fup this 50gb capped.

I called U Mobile CS last night and asked why am I only getting basic internet speed for GX30, and told them that I haven't exceed the 100GB limit, and the agent told me that the policies have changed to 50GB, and I have already exceeded 50GB. So means that they can change the limit when ever they wish to and do not have to post any notice. This is really really unfair to customers.

I just report to mcmc. Its not fair. Theres no information about 100gb limit. And now they change it into 50gb.

unlimited just means no data quota, it is not same as 'unlimited high speed data'

unless telco mentioned 'unlimited high speed data' in its sign up agreement, else telco sure win the case. users easily fooled with the word 'unlimited'

takat RM30 pun nak melalak. tukar tnc ka apa ka biar pi la. baik kau guna masa lapang kau tu pi kerja baru bagi gaji tinggi sikit.

obviously la kena throttled.
u exceed the 'logical' quota by whole lot edi.
bagi telur curi hisap batang. bagi nenen curi jilat puting.

but. umobile should state the plan 'correctly' like quota n speed.

this. although i do not support the telcos practice of abusing the word ‘unlimited’, i think most users arejust lazy to do their due diligence in checking. simple action could avoid you the trouble.

i also dun know where the assumption of unlimited quota will also means unlimited high speed comes from. not even the biggest of telcos in the world can offer both.

The above seems like false advertising or bait-and-switch marketing tactic.

Unifi Fiber, Unifi Air, Unifi Mobile 99 and Unifi Mobile Bebas give true unlimited data consumption and cheaper Internet plans for Fiber Ethernet modems, 4G modems and phones because TM has a monopoly on the HSBB Fiber network in West Malaysia.
....... Other mobile telcos could not give the same because they have to pay TM Fiber for Internet data and bandwidth/speed. Hence, they use T&C and FUP to limit the amount of Internet data consumed by their data-"unlimited" subscribers, eg U Mobile GX50/30 phone plan is limited to SD/480p/0.8Mbps for video-streaming and to 60kbps/0.6Mbps when exceeded 100GB/50GB(.?) for the month.

This. Thing so simple also people in here cannot understand. If they can suka2 tukar tnc, on day if they change it to everyday only can use 500mb data people can't do anything also.
Yang melalut suruh kerja lebih apa bodoh tak tau.

It is confirmed that U Mobile GX50 and GX30 usage over 50GB speed will be throttled to 0.5Mbps starting from 21 October 2019. But only from 8pm to 1am.
