QUOTE(enCORe @ Mar 8 2008, 12:34 AM) @eldon most (amplified) speaker can do what you mention as long the DAP has clean preset. Both is not bad but Zen Stone (and mostly Creative branded player) has similar like Shuffle signature which is very good Hi Encore, thanks for your reply. i have one more question regarding the FM function. Do we need to plug in the earphone as an antenna on FM radio mode? i wish to use the speaker to listen the music inside the room.

most DAP use wired earphones for FM radio, unless your player got builtin antenna ...lol QUOTE(eldon @ Mar 13 2008, 11:59 PM) Hi Encore, thanks for your reply. i have one more question regarding the FM function. Take the samsung P2, possibly one of the best sound clarity and base solid.
the phone bluetooth is another plus factor. I have ordered an Audio technica head phones and cant wait to hear how the sound is.

It's only able to music files through the built-in speaker.. the earphones serves as an antenna for the player to receive signal to the radio channels. The volume is pretty loud for this small fellow This post has been edited by rain_ie: Mar 17 2008, 05:30 PM

Nway, juz my 2 cents well.. although SQ of sony mp3 is not the best, but still consider quite nice.~~ the most powerful part of it is the battery life and charging time. damn... the battery like never run off and even i charge like 10 mins it can run a few hours.

iPod actually has a very good sound quality if you output the sound from its dock and not the headphone jack. I love iPod because its easy to navigate but the sound quality is crap. Not until I use the docking port to output the sound. The difference is so obvious. I never thought iPod could sounded that good. Don't use MP3 or AAC but use Apple Lossless format (M4A) for the best effect. I listened to Sony, Samsung, Creative and yes they sounded good but still iPod docking port sounded the best to me. I have 2 iPod now (Nano 2G 1st gen and Classic 80G 6th gen). I'm getting another iPod Nano 8G 3rd gen when I got my bonus next month

With proper line out any brand DAP can make differents, perhaps can overkill. but portabilty does matter, people not keen to carry with player dock on the move, even somehow a small miniamp could be such hassle.
