Different may be seen in multi-core optimized application. U bought striker extreme?! Will it support next penryn processor? Its better to get P35 or 680i SLi. sweat.gif

But specs on box shows core 2 duo only. I bought the mobo 2 months ago and the specs at Intel site also show the mobo support core 2 duo only at that time. The latest specs for this mobo listed on Intel site now support core 2 quad. Is it because after flashing the bios, I can use core 2 quad for this mobo.

X-bit Labs

Q6600 is a lot faster than the dual core in multithreaded apps but slower in games that doesnt utilize multithreading. I would recommend getting the Q6600. Get the G0 stepping for overclock!
