Im using Photoshop, scan my own IC edit and put watermark at 45 degree in the middle with purpose with opacity of 60%.

So far have been using with bank, government agency. No problem.

I cross at side but recently last year Bank officer cross for me through middle. Anyway also can I think.

Most of them told me that it cannot be accepted but I didn't give a fcuk. Some even asked me to resubmit a fresh copy and they will cross it on my behalf. No way that's gonna happen cuz God knows what they will do with the uncrossed copy.

So I just told them to try and hand it in...and before I knew it, the application (whatever it might be) was successful.

This is another proven method. I did the same for all my online applications and none came back with rejected documents.

I write what the purpose for IC that i printed.

And although the small photo is covered by words,the big photo still visible right?

Sorry, I am not sure what small photo or big photo you are referring to. As long as the words on your photocopied IC/documents are legible after crossing, then it should be fine.

One of friend sold his house recently and pass a crossed photocopy of NRIC to the land office for title transfer through his lawyer. The transfer got rejected and the reason being given is it is not clear without saying what is not clear. His lawyer resubmitted the photocopied NRIC with just the lawyer firm rubber stamp on it, and the title transfer went through.

I just wonder a company rubber stamp will be enough to safe guard it? But i think it is better than nothing.

Cross a bit of what are unique in your document. Some things that are difficult to rebuild using Photoshop. Part of address. Part of the holoface. Part of your face. If you cross over just the top common like "Kad Pengenalan Malaysia", that they can simply superimpose with image of their own "Kad Pengenalan Malaysia".

It won't deter anyone determined, but it will make it arduous for petty opportunists.

Nowadays cross will get rejected.

You can use photoshop or watermark editor and put watermark like that before print it put.
With watermark you can set opacity to low enough can still see the writings.

That should be acceptable. If the lawyer refuse and insist want fresh copy. Then really sus.
