QUOTE(mhhee @ Aug 27 2019, 11:11 AM)
Don't expect a great standby battery drain from Samsung flagship. Never will be. It happends to all the S series plus Note series I ever used. So don't you think your phone is abnormal. LOL.

If want decent battery standby battery drain then get Huawei or Xiaomi.

Currently using Huawei P30 Pro & Note10+.
*
Is that still an issue with the Note 10? I had the same for the Note 5, S6, S8, S8+, Note 8, S9+, Note 9 and S10+, hehe... You would think they would have found a solution by now smile.gif

Anyways, I would add the OnePlus to that list of phones with decent battery drain.

I had 3% battery drain throughout the night from 1 to 9am. I had most functions on though.
*
That's pretty good. I'm getting 2% drain over 8-9 hours with my OP7 Pro with everything switched on too. Previously, my experience with Samsung phones was very different. Had to switch off and disable a whole suite of functions before getting a 2-3% drain overnight smile.gif

I think compared to previous Sammy flagship threads it's a bit slow already. Economy is bad smile.gif

QUOTE(sakuraboo @ Aug 29 2019, 07:54 AM)
Today i was wondering whether different skin conditions affect the finger print scanner. Ie when my skin was dry, it was more difficult to unlock

So i registered again, this time the same finger when it was dry.

Seemed to unlock better

What you guys think
*
The ultrasonic FP reader should theoretically work regardless if your fingers are wet or dry, which is one of it's advantages over an optical FP reader.

Maybe works better with the additional finger print info from the same finger
*
Yeah, register the same FP twice for better accuracy. I did that previously with my S10+ and it was slightly better.

Is this sot normal for my phone?

For that kind of standby time, yes, I'd say the SOT is pretty alright.

If you have two SIM cards and poor cellular reception on either or both of them, then yes, that will definitely affect your battery life.

even that i shouldn't have drop down to 97 within 10 minutes or so, i believe it's abit too fast. or maybe im just paranoid
*
Unfortunately that’s an inherent issue with Samsung phones. Standby times are just not that great.

Battery drain is still prevalent in current Samsung flagships but not as bad as before.
*
Sometimes I wonder if it's a weakness of the Exynos chip, since we don't get to try the SD version of the flagships here.

True that. Could be the OS too since so much of bloatware comes preloaded with the phone.
*
Ya, when I first had the S10+, it was draining 6-8% overnight even on Flight Mode. Then I was told there was a bug within the Exynos chip that prevented the phone from going into deep sleep. Later on Samsung issued a fix for it but I sold the phone by then smile.gif

soooo many accidental purchase sales at garage sales section... tongue.gif
*
Haha, as usual. Well, they had to put something into the "Reason for Sale" column, so "accidentally" spending thousands of ringgit on an extra phone sounds good at that time laugh.gif

They should just put "Scalping" on the Reason for Sale column.

Hey every man has gotta make a living....  tongue.gif  laugh.gif

I've seen one or two listing of the Note 10+ 256GB at 3699 already - which is about what I was prepared to pay during the launch/roadshow. But having followed this thread I think the experience won't be too different from the S10+, minus of course the S-Pen part. Looks likely I will skip the Note altogether this round smile.gif

If it's not really much cheaper, not worth taking the risk of buying on garage sales. Might as well buy online or from retailers which will provide sealed sets and you can even pay with credit cards.

Are you getting one or you already gotten one, bro? laugh.gif

Thanks but no thanks. Im trying to rid this habit. I dont find the same excitement and satisfaction like I did last time anymore, tbh. laugh.gif
*
Yeah, same for me too. I think a big part of it is the prices of the new phones these days. The economy is not helping either laugh.gif

wow still give free gift powerbank&galaxy fit where i dont actually need it
its is buy now or only on 9.9
*
I think 9.9 is a bit too soon to expect Note 10 to be heavily discounted. You would have a better chance of getting a good deal come 11.11 - if you can wait that long laugh.gif

Tbh i think huawei really push their research points into their flagship phones

Their phones are actually really good

But dislike the overall experience, so it's no go for me
*
Right. EMUI is not for everyone, some like it and some can't stand it laugh.gif I personally don't mind it, but Samsung's One UI is by far more polished in my opinion. Just need to put up with a bit of bloat but that's common across EMUI and MIUI too.

QUOTE(StarPrimo @ Sep 4 2019, 06:50 PM)
Yeah, no more ‘kick’ as before. bye.gif
Economy, too many new models launch next to each other ....

Haha, yeah. And the "kick" that is missing are the Qoo10 vouchers laugh.gif

Will there ever those ever again?
Hope that there will be fantastic offers soon  icon_rolleyes.gif

Not having the coupons is also a good thing actually. It helps people like TOMEI-R and myself to repent, hahaha...

Myself already repented already. Phone must use for 2 years before changing.  tongue.gif
BTW, any offers for tonight 9/9 sale or not?  tongue.gif
*
Max 3100 then I’ll consider laugh.gif

Staying away from new phone offers for now bro. Just waiting for Apple’s announcement next week!
