Right, they’ve been improving by leaps and bounds ever since the Note 5 and S6 series onwards to be honest. I do wish they’ll find a way to fix the standby battery drain though. I used to think it was an Android issue but it’s definitely not, as I experienced having owned a OnePlus before (I know some people also say Huawei devices are also good in that respect but I’ve not tested one lately).

Yes, I agree. Anything below 5% drain overnight is considered OK for any phone, especially if you leave all the settings turned on. Unfortunately I seldom get those kinda numbers with my Samsung phones - they are usually higher

Doze mode didn’t work that well on my previous Note 9 or S10+. Apparently there was a bug that prevented the phone from going into deep sleep. Guess that’s been solved now?

Don’t really see the benefit of it. Some people advised better not to use the phone while being charged but you can leave it on.

Better you than me, bro. My S10+ wouldn’t doze off, hahaha. With all settings left on, my phone wouldn’t doze off at night. 7-9% battery drain overnight. With WiFi/Data/Location disabled and DND on, it’ll drain 4-5% overnight.

As a contrast, my OP7 Pro drains 2-3% with all settings left on overnight.

That’s what I’m afraid of, hahaha. Maybe One UI 2.0 will be better bro. Got hope for S11

Hahaha, no la, I wouldn’t even attempt such an audacious stunt, hahaha. Besides, standby battery drain doesn’t annoy some people to the same extent that it annoys me. And the other thing I mentioned over at the OP thread is that OxygenOS is smooth, fluid and less “bloaty” compared to other skins, but it may not be for everyone.

Actually the other main reason I bailed on the S10+ in less than a month was the ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. They’ve probably improved it by now but back then I couldn’t accept being so frustrated over something as simple as trying to unlock my phone

I saw it being offered at RM3599 by Tech Mall just a couple of weeks ago. Perhaps that’s as low as it’ll probably get for 11.11.
