I close my ears when I hear this type of music. I 'tried' to like it but just could not... it's just...repetitive, loud and...repetitive. This is my personal thinking. U all keep lovin it.

 Mostly at Malaysia, some clubs will play those lala remixed version of those chinese pop music  which i wonder why they still can dance and "feng tau" to it no offends. There's little clubs that plays decent trance, techno, hardstyle, house music. So... the question is, which clubs plays decent trance, techno, hardstyle, house music?  btw, cool list there Aoshi! |

That is the problem...people always listens to shitty Malaysian club music and then associated it with Techno/Trance and all those hardstyle. It's Different!!
Anyway, Trance is very far different from Techno. I am an avid Trance listener, fav DJs of course the old school ones like PVD, Ayla, ATB, Armin...bla bla bla. But now more into collecting songs from various producers Like Sean Tyas, John O'Callaghan, Airbase, Kyau vs Albert, Above & Beyond....bla bla bla and been mixing for quite some time |

techno would be in faster beat while trance with slower and more constant as you can listen... basically i dont really know how to say lah but when u used to listen to it you will know liaw....
the worst and hardest is between techno, hardcore trance and techno trance dance ... while is kinda hard to know sometimes.... depending on individual opinions basically hard to know who is correct and who is not well... i was in techno around yr 1998/1999 after than 2000 till present trance....at least trance is better i assume? techno is kinda famous during the 80s and 90s but trance born around in 1990 gettin hotter and hotter till today we got many famous trance dj from Holland, Uk , germany , usa and isreal(psy trance mostly) lolx Added on July 8, 2007, 2:20 pmhhaaha and as for u u hate repeating things maybe u should try vocal trance.... nice tho one of my favourite also... maybe u can get atb and armin van buuren cuz they got plenty of vocal trance... psy trance which sounds very messy and fast maybe u could try skazi and infected mushroom hardcore trance maybe dj dean... and many more lah.... see till u blind lol maybe juz try the local group bass agents lolx This post has been edited by FiftyOne: Jul 8 2007, 02:20 PM |

If you don't like trance naturally, you will never like trance for the rest of your life. Full stop. It comes naturally, it hits your head and it will not leave. Examples of trance? Listen to stuffs from Andre Tanneberger, Aly & Fila, Miguel Sassot, Robert Nickson, Solarstone and Above & Beyond. Theirs' are of pure trance and the melodies + synths are just sweet to the ears. Pure paradise and bliss. Examples of techno? Now i would like to explain things short; none of what you guys heard before is techno. Why do i say so ? It's because techno is famous in UK and US, not Malaysia. Examples ? Listen to Detroit Techno, where it all started by Kevin Saunderson, the Godfather of Techno. Some of the more famous techno producers are Richie Hawtin, Carl Cox, Switch, Ricardo Villalobos, James Holden and Nathan Fake. I have friends who listen to chinese pop, and im ok with it, it's their choice. But if they go over the border in criticizing my choice of music, i will not hesitate to roar back at them =) Btw, i think those music labelled as techno by typical Malaysians, are dance music with weird bpms and outlandish synths. Ministry of Sound, correctly defined, is actually a type of brand or label. The ones that are famous with the MOS imprint are the CD mixes under their label, which were mixed by very good DJs. Like speedfamgirl had mentioned before, the CDs are more towards house music, but lately shifted to more dark, electro-ish house. The latest MOS mix CD by D Ramirez was very much electro-sounding and minimal tech, far from being house music. That CD, absolute 5 stars

The latest MOS mix CD by D Ramirez was very much electro-sounding and minimal tech, far from being house music. That CD, absolute 5 stars now i get it... About the girl, yeah we went separate ways. But can't help to not forget her; only trance music can accompany me now thanks.... wat other artists do u guys rekomen that i can find in cd stores? |

I thought the venue for this event, A'Famosa Beach Resort is small. Not sure which event drew the most crowd, but the Tiesto's pit party had a near 20000 partygoers and it'll be difficult to break the record by Malaysia's standards. |

It's great stuff, you have to listen to it, how SvD manipulated this progressive eurodance track by Chris Lake into something deep techish. Like what Sean Tyas did to the chillout ambient track Shipwrecked.

Yes exploration of space is a top tune from cosmic gate.. but there are better ones from them. their remixes are darn good you want trance, armin VB gives good trance, most djs this days opt for funk house or euro trance coz its nice and theres a lot of melody to it. When i reached XL-Tronic stage Marcus was already on the decks , i think i missed half an hour. The dancefloor was extremely packed, people walking here and there and some people even put their drinks on the floor making it much more difficult to walk. Marcus Schossow set was great, im totally stun when he played his mix of La Guitarra, it is f***ing awesome but theres not much response from the audience, saddd. Personally i think Marcus is still 'new' to us, thats why. Filo & Peri set was extremely good, they know how to move the crowd, id notice they progress their BPM nearly up to 140+. Did not expect the duo to play a Tiesto tune but everytimes when Lethal Industry was in the mix, all the party goers went frenzied, completely uncontrolled which was superb . No, actually i've press and listen it (luckily it plays straight to my media player) after that i went to sleep cause im tired that day, sorry. Okay so i've listen to it again just now, and below are some of my comments and opinions about the track. - Bass line needs to be more thumping and pounding. - 1.10 theres some quality problem, not banging enough since this is kinda like an uplifting track. - Piano melody build up and breakdown quite well produced. - 2.49 breakdown sounds not that good, i suggest maybe you can try to change piano or violin melody. - Starting from 3.31 till 4.00 is good if you can add more 'sounds and the breakdown-and-go stuff' pretty sure gonna have an amazing climax. - 6.47 you should arrage it maybe to 5.47 for you to decrease the melody slowly at the end. - You gotta work again at 7.17, it just doesnt really fit well. - Overall a 3/5 rating for this track you've complely half way but i belive it can be more better. The above is base on my individual comments and an average trance listener opinions, you can either accept or reject it. But when you open your track with the bass line after that you should add those sounds example like Thomas Bronzwaer's Constellation at 0.27 seconds there or Adam Sheridan's Ocaso at 0.55 seconds there. You get what i mean? Hope to check out your complete track soon, do post here! masta_hafiz: Techno club? I think you should find out which night and which DJs is going play at a club instead of finding which club. You can find those R&B at every single club lol, but there's still not many trance night around although trance is slowly getting attention from the local people here. I am new to thread. Anybody been to the MOS club Euphoria in Sunway yet? I kee getting emails to call Georgia to RSVP attendance but the adverts all are for weeknight events i.e. hip hop or rnb. Anybody here been to their proper EDM nights yet? Any field report? |

This genre is all about beats per minute... (bpm) House has a lower bpm compared to Trance. Eurotrance is sometimes okay but it still depends on individuals. For me, i love trance. For those who are interested in it, try searching for "trance energy" on youtube and you can see how the people party overseas. Unlike locally, the performing times are limited (due to government ruling) and sometimes the organizers screw things up...

Obviously that dj mag poll is one deep shit rigged pile of crap
What the hell Guetta, Sasha, Markus Schulz and Ferry doing in top 10 ? Some of the names there are even non-existent already, namely Deep Dish, and yet still counted the votes  Eastern European mafias rigged this bullshit. See the djs at the bottom parts |

Im not really a fan of him but he should be in the top 10 as he consider is one of the pioneers in the trance scene plus you can see his new track Radio Crash, it is not electrance anymore from his previous L.E.F., so by this you have to agree with me! Gabriel & Dresden and Deep Dish, aren't they parted their own ways or something, why they're still there?
