i wouldnt mind so much if it exhausts air through the front TOP.
but the front bottom....bleh....
that case on stock config is not good for temps.
You're right in the sense that it makes sense to exhaust the psu on the front top... but this will also pose some issues.
1) A complete reverse, ie optical drive on the bottom will really look weird... and it's hard to push the eject button
2) Optical drives are longer than HDDs so if it's on the middle of the chassis, it will obstruct long VGA cards. Even with the current configuration, its going to be tight to fit in an 8800 + full complements of HDD's
3) The A05 is already long enough as it is, any longer and it'll be really cacat'ed.
Anyhow, temps are ok lar by just reversing the fan's direction...it's now the same as my old Akasa lor.
It's not going to be beating a large tower case with 8 fans sounding whooshing away but then again, the A05 is a niche case. Like Doom said, its expandable (anything smaller means shoeboxes) while maintaining the smallest possible dimension.
Here's the SOTR classification of the perfect cases for respective target audiences: The record beating overclocker The full 5 star hardcore nekkidness--> What's that??? Case??? Real hardcore 1337 people don't need case
The tweak tweak...boom.. enthuasiast A little mosaic but ya still get the picture.--> Tower cases likethe old CM STACKER (new one's crap) still wins in it's practicallity and the PC-70 towers etc... to fit in the WC loops....the many pumps and the extra layer for the phase change system.
The married enthuasiast. The gravure gurl--> Tower cases SS TJ-07, TJ-09, TJ-10, PC-A70/71 for space but has to have an acceptable level of WAF to win the wifey's approval.
The metrosexual. The STUFF model--> The Aesthetically pleasing V-series and to a certain extent, the TJ07
The Joe next door (mainstream market...80% of the population) Errrr.... gurl next door?--> The regular mid towers..from the Lian Li mids to the Icute mids... not too much... not too little... not too much risk... not sure what they really want... don't want too much... don't wanna risk too little = not too exciting.
The space-challenged -
Like a petite young thing in a slinky black dress packing F-cups(C) --> LL SG01 for the occasional traveller. Despite all, shoeboxes are still limited in terms of VGA space, heatsinks and HDD's that you can throw at it.
--> PC-A05 for the folks living in pigeon holes. It's the only expandible ATX solution that's smaller than the mid towers.
The pre-pubescent or the 2F2F I wanna neon light crowd Lolisssssss--> TT's, Raidmax etc.
